Rode my bike tonight ... :) :(
I have been so down lately because i have not been able to do any racing .. So today i said fuck it , I'm going to run my bike and the pain will just have to get the fuck out of my way .. My shoulder is getting a tiny bit better every week with physical therapy .. I still have a long way to go before i'm 100% .. The first two passes where easy ones just to see how much pain it would cause me .. First pass was hell and i felt i had just made a big mistake even trying to run my bike ... But i didn't give up , i made another pass and the pain was less than the first one ... Both passes were 5.70 flat at 123 mph with a 1.39 60 foot and a 1.40 60 foot .. I felt ok at that point so i pushed it a little harder and run a 5.65 5.64 and a 5.62 .., The 60 footers were 1.36 1.35 and a 1.34 .. 5 passes in all for the night and the last pass of the night the pain wasn't to bad .. The first pass was a 9 to 10 on a scale of pain and last the last pass of the night was down to a 4 or 5 ... I left the track pretty happy .. My hope is that in a few months or so i'll be pretty close to 100% again ..
On a side note i met another land speed racer tonight .. He has a 500 CC twin Suk with a Turbo ... Yes i sad turbo !!!! He is trying to beat the 163 record at the salt flats ... The bike made 150 HP on race gas ... He feels at the bike will run right at 180 mph Bonneville .. He had some tunning problems tonight so the bike didn't really run any good numbers in the 1/8 mile ...He wanted me to make a few passes on the bike but it's a lay down naked bike and i could not reach the handle bars because of my shoulder ... So Steady Teddy rode the bike ... It ran in the mid 80s mph zone missing and popping all the way down the track .. It is one really cool looking bike and once tunned it should fly for 500 cc twin ..

I believe he's out to 68" now. Post up a pic Lee. I'm in the market for a swingarm, and I'd like to see what you've got. I'm planning on going 10,11, or 12" over. My only fear is that it won't hook up with the turbo...

Glad to hear that it is getting better and didn't hurt you too bad. I am going through physical therapy for my left shoulder right now, hoping it will be good to go before the track opens in March.

I was at 68 but i changed from a 41 tooth to a 43 , so i may be a bit under 68 now ..

The turbo 500 was cool. Only wish it was running right. Felt like it was only making 50 to 60 hp. I was expecting a wild ride but was highly disappointed. I had to get back on my bike for the last pass of the night to get that accelleration high. LOL Lee you just suck! LOL Bad shoulder or not you still fly!

With the 16/41 the bike would bog no matter what RPM i staged at ..I tried a 42 and still had a bit of bog .. The 43 fixed the bog but i still think i could go to a 44 ...

18/38 ? You going for 250 MPH ...lol We had 18/43 on Roys bike and it was too much .. I think we could have done better with a 17/39 or 40 ... Roy is making the bike longer and putting the body work back on so we may get to test some other gears one day ..
