White LED license plate light help!
Somebody sent me a link in the old PM system we had here that I kept it in. Bikeland doesn't know how to get them working again, so they got rid of them which makes me not know where I bought this product.
Who sent me the link for the tiny white LED light that that goes under my bikes tail and is used as a license plate light? What is that link? My light is finally out and needs replaced.
I sure miss my old PM's from here.

I used a strip LED and drilled some holes so they light up the plate. Mounted it up inside the tail section so I could take the plate off and not have to deal with wiring.

Thanks guys. I got all the wiring hooked up and done though and it's all hidden inside the little hole in the tail that it fits perfect into, so I'm looking to stay with the same little bright white light led. I'll keep trying. Appreciate the replies.

That is the one that I got from the dealer, but I color matched mine to the bike.
I don't think you can just get the LED from them, though.

A friend of mine that created the "speedodrd" from 12oclocklabs.com said he will replace the LED for me. He's only 30 mins north up in Troy, OH.

I'm going to pick up something like these. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EUU0PA/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B002V15CCM&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1W67QGC8JBCK9Q5K9HA4

I just used a couple 1 1/2" corner braces to attach my lic plate after I removed rear fender. There is a hole under the tail in the perfect place to light the lic plate. I think one of those license plate bolts will fit in the hole and seal the hole at the same time. there is a place to connect an accessory where the stock tail light plugs in.
Attach a couple of these:

........and plug them in to these:

Voila------tag light. I already have my Autotune module hooked up there. I don't think it would be a problem to hook the neg and pos from a bolt light up to the same contacts as the AT.

Rook - That's what I did. I just bought 2 L-brackets for my plate at hardware store and used the hole above it for my light. Interesting about putting one of those bolts in that hole. Good idea.

yes----mispoke in above post. It was 1" corner braces. ~60 cents a piece at HD. lightest lic plate bracket on the market. lol and cheapest.
One more thing....the photo I posted above shows where I plugged in my AutoTune. Anyone who might want to use the same power source with the little contact plates crimped on the wire ends, probably advisable to tape the connection up so it will not shake loose or get pulled out by accident.

You can get it right off the rumble concepts site. I have one in my hand.

by any chance are you referring to the little LED that is in this pic?

Is that the one you were looking into getting replaced?

I have purchased these often here on ebay (never white though). The first auction is for 20 of them for $2.65. the second auction is for 1 at $1.88. All they require to install is a hot glue gun and some wire connectors.

Th1rt3en - Upon following your ebay link I now see those aren't it. Bummer. The undertail picture does look like it, but the link shows a bigger picture and I see those aren't it.
Looks like I will be fine according to my friend when I can make it up to his house he will hook me up. But, until then I need to post a picture just to show the white light I'm using.
Your guys' efforts are truly awesome. There are some stand up fellas on this site for sure.

I like to use superbrightleds.com for all my projects. Best quality and they ship fast. You can find any led you want there and if you have the knowledge make whatever you want. they have calculators also to figure out what size current limiting resistor you'll need for your led or array of leds.
Don't forget the limiting resistor !!!!

Yeah just go to superbrightleds.com and pick the brightness you want and pay a couple bucks, then go to radio shack and buy a $1 resistor pack and solder a resistor in series with the LED and a couple wire leads and your in the biz!

Radioshack has quite a selection of led's too -- may be easier for a one stop shop
