OEM Air Filter
I know BMC air filters come with the foam seal on the edges pre-oiled.
Does an OEM air filter element require an application of oil and if so, what oil would be proper to use.

Thanks, Shane. (I did a search for this and your build thread came up -----but the comment that matched the search was regarding oil filter).
I had the new OEM air filter sitting on a black piece of vinyl for a few minutes and it appears that the OEM does indeed have some oil put into the foam seal --because it left a slippery residue where the edge touched the vinyl.
However, as you say, no oil for OEM ------because they are not meant to be cleaned and reinstalled like a BMC.
thanks for quick reply.

I bought the Pipercross race when I installed my Brocks Alienhead.Problem is my garage door smashed shut and the bike is trapped.Still have the body work off sitting on jackstands. All those nice days wasted and have this killer flu.I can't wait to ride the bike.
