MY CHRISTMAS 2010.NEW YEARS 2011 TRIP
CRT was closed for the holidays and i took a very nice m/c trip thru Florida, stayed with friends in Cocoa, did some ridin there and then went up to North Fl. to stay with a childhood friend.
First stop in Moore Haven on Tuesday, damn that day was friggin cold!! When i left my shop it was 38 dg and did nothing but get colder as i went north!! I imagine the windchill at 80 mph would have me in the low 30"s?
Next stop was Polk City and a visit to the Fantasy Of Flight Museum. I absolutely love old planes, specially WW2 stuff.
They have 2 hangars filled with planes...
A plane i have always wanted to see...a B-26 MARAUDER...an absolutely beautiful plane...
Ended up at my good friends Nicky and Jobe tuesday nite. Wednesday they took me all round and had a much warmer ride than the day before. Was a great ride. We went out that night to celebrate their 9th wedding aniversary. Their son Chase is almost 19 months old and what a beautiful young boy, full of energy and being raised by wonderful parents...
Thursday it was off to North Fl to Madison to visit my best friend Billy who i have known for over 45 years!!
He lives out in the sticks. The house he lives in was built in 1935 and it was very interesting to stay there and to see how people lived back then as the house is quite original inside.
Friday i went out for a very nice ride, Billy lives 15 or so miles from the Georgia state line, so off i was that way. I have an aspect of riding i call "gettin lost on purpose". Oh..lets turn right here, then a left here, then another right, etc. Great ride that more than made up for Tuesday's freakin cold ride!
I came back Sunday, a 7 hour trip and about 425 miles, stopping just for gas and pee pee, and rolled in with 1427 miles on the trip meter and one sore azz!!
It was so nice to get outa dodge and see good friends and great roads, and bring in the New Year with my best friend. I hope to do this again next year.

Thanks for the pictures it's always great to see somebody out riding their bike and have a good time. Sorry about the cold but sometimes it's not easy having fun.

Thanks for a great story. Been a couple of months since I've been on my 14 (Michigan), went to the motorcycle show last weekend (thanks Bikeland) and now need to ride. I've been to the Fantasy of Flight a couple of times, they have a really sweet collection of old birds.

Good story! I'm about 40 miles from the Fl line in ga. Should have gave me a shout!
