Explain this
i saw a 153mph bike chase down a 156mph bike to take the stripe . the 153mph bike and 156 mph bike left at the same time HEADS UP race ..except the 153 mph bike whoolied at the 60ft and the 156 mph bike got 4 bike lenghts on it ..and the 153mph bike ran him down ..
i know y'all gonna say timer are broken .. but a stock busa ran 158mph in the same lane as the 153mph bike earlier .

what i'm asking is how a 153mph bike run down a 156 mph bike
you can see in the 1/8th the 153 mph is running 127 vs 123mph on the 156 mph bike and was behind the 156 mph bike .. but ran the 156mph bike down with only 153mph on the back half
left lane only had a 26mph back half and right lane had a 33mph back half but left lane ran him down...and was ahead of the 156mph bike at the finish

he had him by 4mph at the 1/8th. that tells me that he walked around him and then chopped the throttle at the end.

no at the 1/8 mile he was charging hard but still behind the right lane bike by at least 3 bike lengths
i wish it was on video .. cause thats not what happen .. it came down to the last 20 ft .the left lane passes the right lane bike and took the stripe by 1/2 a wheel

At my track, with my low profile tire, I run 147 in the left lane. In the right lane, I run 151. Every other incremental time is identical, but only the top end MPH is off between the two lanes. I know its not a flaw with the timing system, because the cars run the same MPH in both lanes. I've always had this problem. I also have a single rotor on the left side, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Just comparing my experiences with this.

I lost a big race against a buddy at swb because I shifted right before the line and it lifted the front tire over the beams. His front tire crossed before my rear could lol.

Well it has to do with the low-profile tire. It's not triping the lights at the other end. I have the same problem. I noticed that one of the NHRA event's when Pro Stock motorcycle came to the line after their first burnout they stopped the bikes and said they needed to lower the lights at the other end. Because the front wheel would not trip the light's. Now NHRA requires that you run a filler in the front wheel probably about two or 3 inches tall. I spoke with one of the Heinz boys at the last NHRA event and asked him about the filler plate. He said before they put the plate in that they would have up to 9 mph difference he says now with a filler plate there's no problem. This makes it very hard to tune your bike on the other end if you can't get a consistent mph. I would like to try the filler plate but I'm a little scared to bolt aluminum plates in the front wheel LOL. Ken

Teddy and myself are having the same problems at both the tracks we run at .. The 1/8 mile track i trap 126 MPH in the left lane and 122 in the right lane ..My runs are allways very close ET wise in both lanes ... At our 1/4 mile track i trap 155 in the left lane and 151 in the right lane ... All the bikes that run with us have the same problem BUT the cars don't .
It must have something to do with the way the bike hits the MPH photo cells at the end of the track ..
Teddys bike with the same ETs in either lane has seen 117 in one lane and 126 in the other ..That is a 9 MPH difference with the same ETs .. My zx14 has never seen that much of a difference , Closer to 4 mph for me ..
I have asked crew at both tracks about this and they seem to have no clue it what is going on ..

Mike, is your mph supposed to be 151 without spray? Looking at all those numbers, somewhere between 149 and 151 seems like the expected mph.

Well I must be stupid because the 153 mph bike was never behind in the first place so he never chased him down. he had him off the tree by .311 and was never behind by that much any where in the run. so your losing me on this one. but my buddy went to a low pro tire this year and his mph might make sense for the 1/8th to the 1/4 3 times out of 10. one time he will go 126 and 156 which is right then he might go 121 156 or 127 149 only thing we can think of is the tire
