Prepping for maxton mile over winter

Reading over the rules I just want to make sure I understand the extra prepping involved for the maxton mile.

1) lanyard switch. Will a screw tapped into the kill switch tethered to your suit work?
2) It says I need a ignition cut off and a fuel pump cut off lanyard switch is this the same as just using the kill switch for both?
3) How am I supposed to safety wire my axle nuts? I have seen pics but no explanations.
4) I need to buy a two piece suit that zips but will that give me elbows, knees, shoulders, hips and back protection that is needed?

Beside this I know I need metal valve stems, metal chain guard, leathers, and taping headlights and other lenses, and remove mirrors.

Is there something else I am missing besides these things?

Thanks
James

Another thing the whole class thing is like a foreign language to me. What class would I be in if I have a 2007zx14 with full muzzy, PCIII, butterflies removed, and adjustable lowering links?

class would be MPS/1650-4

1.. not sure what you are describing
2.. fuel pump cuts off when ignition is killed ,, so just a lanyard switch is needed.
3.. drill a hole through both pinch bolts and the edge of the axle nut. run safety wire thu all 3.
4..correct

you also need 3" tall numbers and your ECTA membership.

1) No...you need a real kill switch.
2) Stock oem fuel cut-off is ok unless you do something exotic.
3) Wrongway covered this. Although I don't think you need to wire the pinch bolts anymore, it is still a good idea.
4) A two-piece suit will require a metal zipper that runs either 270 or 360 degrees(check the rule book, I don't recall the specifics). A one-piece suit is a good choice.

You don't need to tape plastic headlights and signals. Remove passenger pegs. A metal strap securing your battery is required.

MPS/1650-4 is correct...but if you run track fuel you are in Gas class, otherwise Fuel class.

If you have any other questions, you can email me at Shane at warp12racing dot com.

Just curious, but what about running anti-freeze? Is it allowed?

It is a good idea to just incase you bust a hose. Plus it cuts down on the clean up time and it is a lot safer to run water.
