Dave in Daytona passed away...............

I truly hate being the bearer of bad news and I'm not even sure which forum to post the sad news in.

For those who have been around this board since it's beginning I'm sure you remember Dave. A tall lanky guy who rode the wheels of his original red ZX12R then bought a blue one, a 14 and a 10. He loved riding and doing track days in Florida and was the owner & administator of DaytonaSportbikes.com

He was always present at the ZX12R gatherings we used to have at Deals Gap.

We've stayed friends over the years and always got together during Bike Week and Biketoberfest.

For several years Dave had been fighting a blood disorder type of cancer, a fighter he was.
He lost the battle yesterday.

His girlfriend Megan had been keeping me posted and she called today informing me of his death.

Beside Megan he leaves his two daughters of 16 & 20 and his Mom.

Rest in Peace my friend, you will be missed.

GodSpeed Daytona Dave.

Dan

I didn't know the Man, but I know he'd been around here longer than myself and had a reputation as a really good guy.
RIP and condolences to his family.

That is very sad.........sounds like he was an active member here, and a very good guy to know..........wish I'd have met him. Does anyone know his full name?
Deepest condolences to his children and family.

Hellmutt,

His name was Dave Brichler..........a GREAT guy for sure.

Mark,

I didn't know how to get a hold of you except thru Randall and I haven't had a chance to call him yet to get your number.
I asked Dave's girlfriend if anything could be done and she said not a thing which made me feel better since Lydia and I are in Colorado so nothing is needed, thanks for asking.
I knew you and him were pretty tight back in the good old days.
