setting up suspension
I ride street no track or drag strip yet. Im just curious if anyone has set up or has a guide for were to start. fast bikes used to have a section for different bikes that they were testing and how to set-up suspension for weight. I'm 220 pounds wasnt sure if there was a good starting point other then turn 3 clicks and ride etc... like a full suspesion set up.

Their test riders are usually smaller Cats.
Sad to say but at 220 lbs you will need to respring.
I'm 175 and a street rider.
Started doing track days and ended up replacing the shock for a Penske and having the forks re-valved. Of course heavier springs front and back.
A bit of good news Suzuki sv650 riders love our stock shock! And snap them up!
For now, you can start closing all compression dampening and get by. But its impossible to get any satisfaction out of the stock springs. My 06 was sprung for 150 lb. from KHI.
Check out Race Techs site. They have a spring calculator etc.

Remember that street riding, race tracks and sprinting all need different suspension settings.
