I remember you. Glad to hear you're in one piece.

I can't remember ever being in a situation where the thought went through my head that I'll be best off in a head on with a Jeep.

Glad you're ok, you may have suffered a target fixation which is how that happened. Sometimes even the most experienced rider goes down from target fixation. It looks rebuildable from what the picture shows.

haha it wasn't like that. i was in the inside lane and the when i want to take the turn wider i went in the outside lane the car in front of me in the outside lane just slowed down alot. there was no way i could go back to the inside lane and rather then lay it down i took my chances and went over the median it happened in the blink of an eye. if there was a better direction to go you only had micro secs to do it. it just happened to fast

Glad you are Ok, PM me if you are going to repair. I have almost all the spare parts to fix your 14. Front nose is a 2007 Black though, sell it cheap. I purchased a complete 2007 Black fairing kit from that guy in Canada from a zero mile 2007 Black, so the other used parts I have I will make you a deal on.

if you couldn't take that corner at 60 mph you need to quit riding .. count your blessing and quit while your ahead .

you can part the bike out thru ebay and craiglist and forums like this ..

you weren't there for all you know there was oil all over the road. the 4 year old stock front tire gave me alittle trouble before while i was riding and it spooked me i ordered a new but it came in today not over the weekend. and on top of the that the car in front of me in the outside lane was in the way of taking the turn wider it was an assortment of things that happened but the biggest problem was my actions but ether way i'm going to keep riding maybe just a smaller bike for my next one.

and i don't know how i worded it but i think i hit the car at 60. not the turn.

yes i have heard of ebay thanks

i didn't want to rebuild it i just wanted to sell it as it is if i could make back 3k on whats good on it i would really happy. i'm trying to get around to taking it all apart and selling it piece by piece but i guess that my only option

Why did you delete the pic's?? IBad was not trying to be mean. You posted you have only been riding a year. First bike is a ZX-14....you really need to get a smaller bike and do some track days and get use to looking thru/past a curve. And how to counter steer and trail brake. From the looks of the street 60 was too fast but I was not there. What was posted speed limit.

At least you're still alive and kickin'.........lost a friend back in my late teens who put his helmet thru the tailgate of a truck -- he was a lil' feller about 5'5" @ 140lbs riding a modded 80's Maxum 1100, just going too fast and tried stopping hard, high sided off the bike........sad day.........worse news is that I gave him gas money that afternoon so he could go riding with us -- hard thing to get over but I realize it wasn't my fault, no matter how I enabled it.
I've been a lucky one - only wrecked my first street bike - low side at 35mph........haven't wrecked another since ( knock, knock ).
But you definitely should get back on a bike, don't let one episode of bad karma keep you from riding -- that's the kind of regret that stays with you the rest of your life, and nobody wants to die with any regrets.

Just take a good, long, hard look and what you were doing wrong to crash before you get back on the bike. Definitely going way to fast for your skills in a place where you had no business doing those speeds. Be glad your still alive!
