Electrical short

Can smeone plase tel me what can b wrong with my ZX14 .. Every now and then my digital panel shuts off and it wont start,, ill have to rock it a ittle for it to start,, a few times I have been on the highway doin 80Mph and it jerks like is going to loose poer or not getting enough fuel.. and my panel shuts off an my gages cycle up and down the same way they do when you start the bike,, butthen it goes away and it rides normal. Please someone give me some hints to solv my problem! thx Sgt Reyes

Welcome, there is a tilt sensor in the nose of the front of the fairing. Check it and some models have a Immobilizer system, check the ground.Also look at the battery cables and make sure they are clean and tight.

I would pull wiring harness conector for the display unit, spray wd-40 in connections and reconnect. Your tilt sensor shuts off the fuel pump.

You are correct that the Vehicle Down Sensor (tilt sensor) shuts off fuel pump, but

the ECU also shuts down the fuel injectors, and the ............ Ignition System. I should have

posted to check the battery cables. First.

Had the same prob with my 07. it was the battery cable - side.
