65-68" wheelbase

If I wanted a adjustable 65-68" wheelbase, how many inches over would I need to get. I'm thinking about getting a swingarm....

6 over is right around 64. so i'd say 6-10" over will put you at 64-68

That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure. What is the stock wheelbase? 58.5"?

Yeah, sure. As long as you don't count the usually oversize axle blocks and wheelbase lost from lowering the front end. The angle of the arm also ensures that 10" of arm length will often not translate to 10" of additional wheelbase.

Do you think I said 9-12" in order to mislead you, lol? 6-9" gives you around 65" (depending on the arm design) when all is said and done...remember, I have a 6-9" arm...and I have measured the wheelbase many times.

I doubt you will find a +10" arm that gives a true 68".

if you can get the axle to go all the way back with 0 chain adjustment you will have the full length, but how will you tighten your chain?

not to be a smart ass, but how do you lose wheelbase by lowering the front end?

Because....as the front wheel goes upwards it also goes backwards, due to the rake of the forks.

Asshole.
