I just got a call from Mike, he said about 30% more than regular chroming.

youll be sorry you ever put any finnish on chrome including black powdercoat.
It won't stick, and the scratches will show really easy.

I was thinking they sandblast the chrome or paint before they black chrome or powdercoat, yea that would suck

I did some research and I need to correct myself. There are new chrome processes with pigments in the chrome plating itself, and apparently it is nearly as durable as regular chrome.
However one should be careful as there are shortcuts that can be made. some companies use 3 step process instead of 5 and the finnish isn't nearly as nice or durable.
also prep is essential as with any other finnishing process.

The ebay store site has a long list of how you can NOT get a warrantee by washing them wrong but doesn't go into their chroming process much. I suppose it's worth emailing him about that before a purchase for sure. he called me right back. They look nice as opposed to regular chrome. he said he can do footpegs,shifter, levers, exhaust can, front forks ect as long as their not stainless.

I talked to Mike today as well. I asked if he would exchange zx14 wheels for zx10 wheels and he said he couldn't. But for $1100 you could buy them outright. He also said he could do 20 different colors with the translucent powder coat. I was thinking about doing the 10r rims in orange. Does it matter what year you use for the swap?
