Dyno says too lean
Here's my big story did a 25 dollar dyno day test. Their machine showed 16 to one fuel ratio he called valve burning lean. I know that's lean too lean for sure if their machine reads right. I have a Yosh full and removed the silencer for the test but always run with it in. I use the power commander III map for no flys and Yosh full system. I also reset my fuel on the top end to 100 percent instead of the -10 like they had. My question is this does that sound reasonable for the bike to be that lean using 100 percent of stock. Do most of you drag racers use more than 100 percent of stock at full throttle higher rpms. Not asking for trade secrets on mapping but kind of curious. Only other mod is screen on air filter removed, 06 model flys of course out.

It should not be lean if you have zero's in the cells from say, 10-11k rpm.
Most maps will still be around -5 (or leaner) in those zones...even with oxygenated fuel and a full exhaust.
Perhaps they are charging the $25 in order to scare you into a tune?? Did they suggest their services??

Thanks for the replies. Shane that is interesting I didn't see how it could be that lean as it seems to run fine no ping etc. They did seem of course to mention a tune. Maybe some O2 sensor or autotune type thing might be the best method.

Best method would be to put it on a proper dyno with a reputable shop and go from there. Ask around for some recommendations.

Do you really think a bike with zero's in the 100% column is running 16:1? Not unless something else is broken...the tune is not the issue.

that's why i ask if the kleen air had block off's . cause its pulling air into the exhaust .. cause like i stated 16.1 is piston melt under load ..

I have been thinking about the clean air valve, I put a plug in the intake going to the air cleaner box. On decel sometimes backfires still so maybe it could be still working to some degree. Could you read the plugs like the old days or is that valid?

Yes, you can read the plugs.

I am chill . no do-nuts got to beat wee ..
well if you got the kleen air block off ..And if the dyno sniffer is good . then buy a wideband and know what your A/F is all the time
i made my own block-off by threading the cap's intake with a 1/8th pipe thread and screwed in bull plugs ..

it was showing afr and did the test with the reset button and it was telling me that it was ok but it wasint and by the way i can not complaine on dynojet support cause they dont have any my 2 cent
