I've said that for many years, but the fact of the matter is that pistons simply cost more for imports. The pricing seems too good to be true, and I'm afraid it is. The cp pistons for a busa cost 919, which is coincidentally 1/4 the cost of the zx14 pistons..... I'm going to email just in case, cause if they are only $229, I'll be buying some.
How hard is it to put pistons in a bike? I'm a pretty good wrench, but I've never worked on something with such tight tolerances. How much should I budget for gaskets and other parts like that?

a lot of times drop in's don't just drop in. I'd recomend sending the upper case to millenium technologies with a piston and have them deglaze the cylinder for the piston.
dropping the engine out of the chassis takes around 40 mins with the body work off.

quick question, if i take a 1270 (13.5 to 1) n exchange the pistons to turbo pistons will that automatically lower the compression to 9 to 1 or do u have to change to a different base gasket as well

its really not that tough of a job, just use the right hone and dont go wild with it
I doubt you will find 1270 turbo pistons bigmo. you can just use a spacer as that will lower cr, but you loose a lot of the effectiveness of the squish area. most of the turbo pistons that are designed to be used with a spacer have a thicker top around the edge and are dished in the middle maintaining the normal amount of squish and lowering CR
