Is it me or....
Is it me or are more 14 owners as of late have bin switchin over to Busas? I know that some of the dragracers have said recently that there is just so much more you can do to a Busa to make it faster. That's probably true but how about the street riders? I would love to own both but for street riding why really switch one for the other? One of the reasons why I own a 14 is not to have what everybody else has. Another friend just bought a Beemer. Do you people not like ur Ninjas no more? Waaaaaaaaa!

Not me!!! Never!!!!!! Busa's are dime a dozen, so I'll stick with the 14 for two reasons.......
1 -- because I love the feel, the power, the look of this bike
2 -- because I rarely see other 14's around my area, and busa's are everywhere

really? I see just as many fast 14s as I do eyeabusers. It' s just that eyeabusers are "cool" and "in" to have one....look at me, look at me, look at me

Don't get me wrong, its a nice bike but really, its frickin everywhere and now people are on this site sayin there gettin Busas, there buyin the new Beemer. The beemer don't bother me that much cause it just came out and nobody really has them on the road in big numbers, but a lot of ship jumpin goin on around here. Hmmmmmm.

I like to drag race, So when I sold my first ZX14 and bought the 08 Busa it was for economic reasons. It's cheaper to hop up and parts are everywhere. On the old ones (99-07) you can buy one for 3500-4500 dollars in good shape, then pick you up a used Stage one turbo kit off the internet ( I paid $1000 for a used Hahn kit), throw a cylinder spacer on it and make 250 RWHP and ride it anywhere. Or just bolt the kit own set it at 8 pounds and it makes 215-220 RWHP. Don't get me wrong I liked all my ZX14's but I have a family with my oldest at Miss.State and my middle girl starts driving in July so I had to buy a car for her. so I have to do this as cheaply as my budget allows. That's why I have the low budget 1000. I am going to make another Stage 1 turbo Busa. I bought a wrecked 02 Busa for $1200 and it just needs plastic. I have been looking for a deal on a turbo kit online so hopefully by Christmas it will be finished. My goal is to have 2 bikes to take to the track that make over 200 RWHP and have less than 6K in them. I like all bikes. I am not brand loyal. all have there good points and there bad points. It all comes down to rider preference.

I just bought a 09 14 but I had a 04 Busa stretched and lowered and the 14 has a smoother engine and a better shifting transmission. from riding I can't tell which one has more power. I also just sold my B-king.

The 14 has more power than the first Gen Busa. I always wanted a B-King but they were more than a Busa new. Our local dealer has one still on the floor.

Your 14 has more power then you gen 1 busa unless you had motor work done. there really is no comparison between the 14 and gen 1 busa's.

It's been a year since I sold the Busa, it had a pipe and power commander (which is not that big a deal). I really cant feel the difference as i remember it. but I can tell you that it feels a little slower than my B-King that i sold in Feb?
When bikes have this much power a little more or less is hard to tell, it could just be that the 14 is less wheelie prone than the King which is good because 1st gear on that bike is almost useless under full power. This alone would give the impression of more power.

The Busa guys here have switched to zx14s..Hell we never see 08 09 busas at the track anymore .. Test and tune nights it's all Gixxer 1000s and ZX14s .. A lot of guys that race AMA have switched to the ZX14 ... Two of the Gixxer 1000 guys we race with are shopping for zx14s...I know it's different in other parts of the country but here it's all ZX14s.. Even bike night at QSL you will see more zx14s than Busas ..

Where u from Smokin cause I gotta move there. Your right though about the different part of the country thing. Its just the opposite here in South Jersey its Busas everywhere. Glad 14's are popular somewhere. I'm gonna be deployed soon and they break my stones cause two of my National Guard buddies even have Busas.

You're like those you hang around...Birds of a feather..ect I've always been a Team Green man myself. I don't care for the back half of a busa personally nor would I buy one cuz everybody else is doing it. It all boils down to personal preference as they both are fast. It's all rider sooner or later

Yup smokin is on the other side from what we see here. no 14's at all and the dealer did not even order an 10 because he did not want it siting beside his new 08 and new 09 he can't sell.
