I wonder if there WAS a new model ready to release until the BMW proved it was not just a bunch of hype.
Get ready for the new liter bike wars with a new contestant.

Suzuki did release a 2010, just not in the U.S. I'm wondering if the Booza will follow the 1000?

Anti-wheelie? ......Um, wouldn't that waste the power because it would have to tone the motor down right? Which would make it slow right? I don't see how this anti-wheelie thing would work. A fast machine just does that and doesn't need toned down. IDK, what's your opinions?

Drag racers already use wheely control. I think there are several versions out. I know Steadmans Motorsports sells one I think Schnitz's has one to. On my Turbo Busa With my AMS 1000 I had it set up to where I could cut boost with the push of a button, then go back to where it was after the front came down. I guess the theroy is if it wheelies you are going to let off. Let the electronic box do it for you and keep as much power as the bike will stand which should be faster.

I hope it's as easy to work on as the earlier models. I have not looked close at the 09 but someone told me you can pull the trans. with the motor in the frame.

When the hp goes up and the package is smaller and lighter, they have no choice but to consolidate the block and case.

If anything the Japanese will do what they have done from the beginning of time, copy somebody else's work if it is better(BMW). Lets just wait and see.

Really? It seems to me that BMW is the company that copied the Japanese. The S1000rr is a complete copy of all the Japanese 1000cc R&D. Where's all the BMW trademarks like duolever suspension (that they claim was superior and overcharged people for, for years)?
There is none of that. The only thing that they were able to accomplish is putting more power to the ground. And who knows, the engine may just be squeezed and it may not last as long/ require more maintenance. Only time will tell.

That would be a laugh if these things only ran 10K before they either wore out or just grenaded Doubtful, but a nice thought anyway. And yes, they did copy the japs.

I can tell you that the inner workings of the BMW cylinder head are nothing like the big 4 jap bikes.
The port geometry is very different and the shape is different and the chambers are diferent. They didn't copy anything from the Japs, they copied from F1 engines and there own R&D.
Honda is the only one that stands a chance to ever be out in front of BMW in the engine technology department in the near future.
And I don't think Honda has the stomach to make and sell to the public, a 210 hp 1000 right now. But they could. But they have to worry about idiots putting 87 octane fuel in the bike because people on the Internet say that's what you should do. Then they have to worry about the Socialist politicians out outlawing there products. We were very close to seeing that happen in 2000. Large jumps in performance (like in 1999 and 2000) attracts the attention of the Socialist politicians.
So to preserve the sport bike market they need to keep the performance jumps small and under the radar.
