Psyched !!! ...Got all her parts!
She spun the 3rd rod bearing this past January ...she frooze up on me ...lucky I wasnt going fast,10 mph. We did her autopsy last month and I just got all her parts this week !
I checked all over the www and found the BEST prices by far were at Cycle Parts Nation out of Kalamazoo,Mi. They beat everyone by a third...I spent $480.00 in all new Brown OEM bearings to get the BEST oil flow to help prevent this from happenig again and OEM gaskets to seal her up right.
Got a new crank& rod out of a wrecked 14 with only 1000 miles on em for $250.00
Got a Cometic thinner head gasket to gain higher compression from Schnitz Racing.
ozone killer turned the counter bolt to bypass the top end limit and will be doing his magic. I have met many racers and wrenches.. Tom knows how to make em faster...
Removed all emissions,sealed the airbox and building a custom ram air...pics when done..
Its been a long 4 months of working too much and not riding her....PSYCHED !!!

Seems to always be the 3rd rod bearing. Has anyone else noticed this?

From what I heard its a bad oil passage on the 3rd rod and since I beat the shit out of her I expected it. She only has 5400 miles , but HARD miles..DrAgS ...Some people have worked them to flow more. We added all Brown bearings to help...
I will do more research and will post results ..
