Clutches went out

Replaced the clutches less than a year ago they went again friday nite. Im not sure on Running mobile 1 10w 40 full synthetic. the original clutches lasted 8000 miles with track days on Kawasaki oil, The last set of OEM on mobil 1 only lasted 3000 miles with track days. want to switch back to kawi oil but dont know if i can now after using synthetic. And holy shit did the price go up on OEM clutches i had $180 in it last year this year same dealer $280 WTF??

Piss on kawi oil. I got 47 passes before burning my clutch up on kawi oil. Poured it out and it was thinner than water.

Definitely.........doesn't really matter that much if you swap back and forth between synth and nonsynth........think it's more personal preference with alot of guys. But other drag strip opinions are welcome on this one........for street riding and little track time, I stuck with synth since the seller i got mine from broke it in with Mobil, so just stuck with it.

I'd used it in the past with other vehicles but never in a bike until I bought this 14. Usually about $22 a gallon or 5qt jug on sale from Walmart........not too bad considering it only gets changed out maybe twice a year

It could have been my experience, but I'm not kidding when I say it poured out of the oil pan like water... And it was the day after I run it, socit wasn't hot.

I've had SAE oils act like that too..........was the mileage low on it when you dropped it?

Few hundred miles, with 40+ passes not hot lapping. I refuse to put it in anything I own again.

Im gonna stick with the mobil one. ive figured about 100-150 passes on these clutches that just went out so not too bad i suppose. And i just started pulling 1.40 60fts so im sure im a little harder on the clutch than in the past.
