4243 mile ride. C14 is one reliable bike.

And I posted up a few pics in the Connie14 forum, didn't think they'd be appropriate here.

Is that mileage more than what you expected from the bike?

I have put around 100 street miles on my 14 this calendar year (in one day!)
and also did two track days with my 750.

How is that Connie seat? Can't see myself on the bike, but the seat might be a nice upgrade for my -14.

Not a typo- around 100 street miles on one of the bikes
and another 250 on my track bike.

BTW my buddy's 05 10r with 45K miles (street and 4 years of track duty) laid 166 rwhp
on a Dynojet dyno a month ago! Kawasaki doesn't f@ck around with these engines

A list of what I don't do on a motorcycle:

commute
two-up
riding around the city
attending bike nights
Starbucks (or equal local joint)
Hooters (or equal local joint)
ride in inclimate weather (I have nothing to prove to myself or others)
attend organized local group rides
ride with unknown/ inexperienced riders
ride without full gear- one or two piece leathers with zippers and real boots

If we're riding the VT twisties over a long weekend,
the bikes are hauled in my enclosed trailer over state borders.
Some folks enjoy going everywhere on their bikes,
others not as much. Combine that with having no time or energy
for riding and some cancelled track days due to bad weather and I
rode as much as I usually do around this time of the year.

Mass I guess you are the new cool rider. no bad weather no real riding of any leisure you state and we re all small dicked kids for wanting to ride the machines that bring us happiness for something other than a track. Trailers are for harleys. If racing is how you make a living great but don't look down on people use motorcycles for what their built for. As for inexperienced riders how do you know who's behind you in the car or truck? New driver?

My comments weren't meant in a derogatory way in regards to people who ride a lot!
I clearly stated that usually I don't have enough time and/ or energy for riding.
You are free to choose what conditions you ride the vehicles you own in,
same for me and add where I live in the equation and you get the idea why I'm so fed up with shitty weather.
Nobody actually knows who's around them in traffic- that's why I avoid
city riding and heavy congested highways as much as possible and don't commute on a bike.

Other than for hauling my bikes trailers are the only way to transport track bikes that have no registration, any lights, keyless ignitions, race tires good for 300-400 miles etc.
Anybody that owns a motorcycle should have alternate ways for transporting it
other than riding IMHO- pick-up trucks or trailers.
