Nice ride, I sat on a new one last week at Kaw/Honda dealer. Little bike, like a 600. 6'3'

and way to big for it. Man all the cool bikes that turn great are just too small for me.

Good looking Honda.

Its very highly rated by the knee draging people at the bike rags I read. Looks good except for that muffler ugh what was Honda thinking on that one. A good slip-on is in order now that your a southern boy.

Ssweeeeet! I love the silver/black combo.......BUT.......Don't know why Honda ever did away with the undertail exhaust.......way cleaner / balanced look to me. These new stubby silencers that the jap bikes are running now are simply hideous IMO. I'd much rather have a "heat-browned" taillamp or even Buell style underengine exhaust before I'd consider keeping the newer setups these bikes are coming with.........still a nice new ride though!

Have you tried the Ducati 1098/1198 I'm 6'3" as well (240lbs wet) and it's not a bad fit

Nice looking bike. Don't listen to those guys though. I love the look of that shotgun exhaust. Undertail exhausts not only raise the center of gravity, add weight, but they heat up your buns too!

No. rode a 916 sevearl years ago, quick turning bike. But 6'3" 225 in shorts and now in my 50's and old back gets sore on the Really cool Sport bikes sigh. Those bikes are a 1 hour ride for me and need to lay flat and get my back straight again :-)

Love my Speigler LSL bar kit :-) Buellpegs too really lets set up and ride 400 miles in a day. Still sore and tired but still out there on my 14

so far I like it. it is radically different from the 14. the 14 accelerates violently but is very smooth. the honda feels like a feather weight. but it is more buzzy and the arm yanking jerk just isn't there. however the cbr in corners feels way better than the 14. so they both sand out in there own way. the only real choice is to have both.

There is nothing really wrong with a higher center of gravity on a bike, it helps it fall into a turn better. A good example is why the Busa handles better then the ZX14 (not to say ZX14 is bad), they mounted the engine higher up then the ZX14 which is why the Busa feels nimbler in the turn despite the less aggressive rake. Ever wonder why when you go to a bike shop the ZX14 feels really light (for its size) shaking it side to side while sitting but the Busa feels like a heavy tank? The ZX14 motor is mounted really low so it feels light.

A lot of bike for the $$ enjoy. There is nothing wrong with a high CG . What is wrong with an undertail exhaust is poor mass centralization. It effects the turning reaction; the further from center the harder to initiate a turn. And I am a B-King owner. Lol. LSL

what do ya think?

My nephew had one and we traded for 15 miles or so. I was done by 10 miles and pulled over. I was comparing it too much to the 14. Just my opinion. Nice bike, just not my style

The Taylor made exhaust looks super slick on the cbr1000s but I heard they are built like shit though.

Great skoot...congrats. The CBR's are detuned from Honda, there is an ignition retard built in that KILLS the power from 10,200 rpm to the rev limiter, get the Z-BOMB or Dynojet;s ignition retard eliminator, most CBR'S well pick up about 5 ponies up there!!

I have achieved gains of about 15 H.P. with a good pipe, a/f, ram air and intake mods, the above mentioned retard eliminator and mapping. More important is about a 22 H.P. gain just before the revlimiter due to less power fall-off in the over-rev area. The torque is also much improved, these are the only late model litre skoots where we have seen 80 pnd/ft!

Enjoy the skoot...like others i don't fit the litre skoots but i enjoy my short test rides on them.
