The braids are covered up for you in the protective covering that you pick the color of. I guess if I picked clear protective covering we would see steel braids.........Yappers we would

Hiya Guys, I just got the bracket from Bestem personnel. They (Daz & Rod) were very kind in order to help me with this issue, and they sent me the bracket without any further cost.
Now THAT'S what I call Service of Excellence!!!

Thanks to all of you and specially EPD345 for the help

Hugs All,
David

EPD345, is there signs of the line rubbing that bolt head where you'd ziptied the line? Just wondering since I had Brembo setup on my last bike and the rear line wore against the swingarm clamp after it had backed off a bit -- just don't want to see anyone have problems from brake fluid eventually ending up on the rear tire.......personally, I'd use a padded P-clamp in the bolt hole you ziptied the line thru - just a suggestion

Hiya Guys, here goes a small tutorial about the installation of a Bestem Rear Hugger in a ZX14:

- Product: Kawasaki ZX14 Rear Hugger by Bestem (USA)

1.- Exhausts must be taken off the bike:

2.- Dismount the chain cover (loosen up the two philliphs head bolts and the rear plastic tab):

3.- Install the left Hugger side using the same original threaded holes and the two phillips head bolts (the Hugger does not come with rear tab system as the original chain cover):

4.- Then on the right side you use the supplied bracket which goes bolted in the same place as the rear brake guide. Watchout! as you need to use a longer bolt (provided with the bracket). The original bolt, I've used it to secure the Hugger to the other end of the bracket (using a self locking nut, provided with the bracket).

5.- You re-install the exhausts and VOILÁ! A distinctive touch for the ZX14 ;D

Hugs,
David

Looks cool, my only concern is if there is enough clearance above it that the hugger wont slam into the under tray when suspension is under full stroke.

Most auto parts stores or even hardware stores should have something that would work --
