RACING - NORTH TEXAS STYLE!!!

We had a FUN day today at Redline Raceway in Caddo Mills, TX. Wheelie, TNT, and Lucky14 showed up.
The GOOD NEWs - not many people did, so you could get all the runs you wanted.
The BAD NEWS - we were running into a 20 - 30 mph wind.
It's been 6 months since I've been to the track, and that was on SWB. Today was the first time out extended, and I was still trying to drive it like it wasn't.
Many thanks to Wheelie for all his coaching to get me down to a 6.15 @ 120+ into this killer headwind. Yes, I know it's not a great time for many of you, but it stands as a PB for me!

I have several videos, but I won't be able to edit them until tomorrow night.
In the meantime, a couple of pics will have to tide you over.

Yep...we had that same wind issue Saturday night over here in Shreveport...cept it was a solid crosswind. Made for some interesting passes to say the least. Track was great, but the monkey twisting the grip felt like a noob.

Would like to set up a weekend sometime that we can all meet up and play at a drag strip inbewteen Dallas and Shreveport. Too much fun.

Good job on the PB Lucky!!!

Man , I wish we could do yesterday over without all that wind! Maybe next time there will be a lot more 14s come out to play with us too! The track was a little green , so they kept holding us back while they reprepped , but after a few more events that track will really start hooking , and the numbers will come easier too! I had a great time , and hey Lucky , nice pics too ! and Wheelie is still the King !

It was all fun!
Wheelie told me to get the clutch out faster - I got it out a LOT faster - about a 10 o'clock, I'd say. Thanks to the OSR pan, no harm, no foul!
The other wheely, only about 2 ft. (?), I rode out, let off a little, and landed gently.

I'm trying to get Wheelie to switch board names with me ..................

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Oh, that's gonna make him mad.

You're just looking for a stretched bike that you can pick on!
Well, you came to the right place!

Shreveport's not all that far. I just have to talk Wheelie into going.
Who else? Road trip!

It's a decent track/facilty and ran pretty good. Track runs heading west...bring dark shield if running later in the day...sun is brutal.
