Clutch Question
Roughly a month ago I pulled my clutch to inspect it. Upon reinstalling my clutch I screwed up two things. First of all I did not install the largest fiber last and second of all I did not off set the last fiber in the hub. I have had a horrible past 3 trips out and either wheelie or bust the tire loose right off of the line. When I say wheelie instantly I mean that literally, like before the 60ft mark. My last two plates were warped when I took them out a while ago but I moved them further out in the hub and put the good ones further in. I strongly think that one of these clutch issues is my spinning/wheelie problem. I just put in a brand new clutch which should resolve my problems but my curiosity is killing me.
What are some thoughts??

Sounds like you got some discs applying too much pressure and its not meshing up correctly with your clutch release poiints. If I were you....I'd redo the whole thing from start to finish. Get rid of the warped discs..prob would solve the issue in itself right there.
Good luck!

Not off setting the last fiber in the hub will not cause any problems .. I put mine togetther that way and never had a problem ..Not using the large fiber ? Humm i don't know about that ..

moving warped discs around in the pack will not do you any good either...stack height is stack height...only so much room in there and warped discs will be a problem no matter where you put them in the stack.

Due to the overwhelming response I figured I would post my results with my new clutch. The old clutch WAS the problem. I took it to the track today and got 3 passes, the first two were a bust just do to the uncertainty of a new clutch but my 3rd pass a layed down a 1.377 60ft.

Yeah, I am stock right now, I think I am going to go with 16/43, because I weigh around 155. Thanks for the help.

Did you make it any rounds? I spun bad off the line and got put out first round. Loaded up and headed out before the rain hit.

You are wrong. The outter most fiber is bigger than the rest, while the inner most fiber is smaller than the rest.

I did not know that either but I got my clutch pack from Muzzys and there was 3 sized fibers. The smallest goes closest to the motor. The others go in the middle and there is one fiber that has larger pads on it that goes in last. I read my owners manual and it specifically says to put the larger fiber last.
