M14 is a header design. M10 is a muffler.

The M14 header is better than the older Muzzy setup.

+1. The m10 muffler is a gp style canister. It is loud and deep. I loved the sound of mine. The m14 is a tapered header. Very good design.

How much are you spending for a new muzzy? Close to same price as brocks?
Get a used system and save some money!

I like the M-10 muffler. Reminds me of the old Kerker megaphones on the old kawi Z1's

Be sure and tape a piece of cardboard to the back side of you radiator. It will keep a lot of opps dings out of your fins.

I have had the M14, the Shortmeg, the CT, and now the TiWinder.

The best overall pipe, money aside, would be the CT single, imo. Beautiful design and great ground clearance.

That being said, the M14 has better ground clearance than an Alien Head. If you are buying used, the Muzzy M14 pipes are a steal these days. If buying new, I would lean toward the Brock's systems because of the maps and customer support. With the new pricing on Brock's systems, the cost is not that different between the two.

Just don't get the older style Muzzy header. It has the most restrictive design, and from what I can see it also has poor ground clearance.

I don't think you understand this completely. The m14 is a style of header and you can put ANY muffler behind it (gp canister, m10, oval stainless, round aluminum, ect). If you buy a muzzy system, DO NOT get just a regular m10 system. The original m10 was a full system with a crappy header design. Don't get it unless it's about $300. If you want the m10 style header, make sure you get the m14/m10. That is a m14 header with a m10 muffler. Hope this clears it up.

Ya, get an m14 or a Orient Express. The muzzys will probably make more power (a little bit), but the Orient Express is VERY high quality and sounds great. I believe they are $800.
