Cycle World of Cherry Hill, NJ
I want to write a few lines and share an incredible experience with a dealership:
Cycle World of Cherry Hill, NJ was incredible to do business with. Before purchasing the bike I priced it all over the USA as I wanted a ride home (other than across Tampa). Cycle World beat the next best USA dealer by over a thousand. I contacted Mark there, then finally pulled the trigger on their eBAY "buy it now" add.
Before going up I asked Mark to please have the paperwork and bike ready, and please be prompt picking me up from the airport. I arrived and the driver, Josh, was there in no time. He drove me to the dealership and on the way I mentioned a RAM GPS mount I might need to borrow a couple of tools to install for my trip. He said "while you and Mark are doing the paperwork I'll handle it". We got to the dealership the bike was awaiting outside prepped and full of gas. Went inside and met mark, the paperwork was all prepared. It took only minutes and he was handing me the Kawasaki "title of origin" and temp registration. Went outside and Josh had the GPS mount installed. I was ready to roll. This transaction went smoother than any car or bike I've ever purchased, and I was initially worried considering I was buying a bike 1160 miles away.
Dave (blkbird from another forum) shook my hand when I got there, and was nice enough to take some pics (the ones I posted up). Although the dealer went over the bike with me, blkbird showed me a few tips and tricks that only a Connie owner would know. I very much appreciated him stopping by, taking pics, and helping go over the bike.
I'm very pleased with how things in NJ went with the dealer, and appreciate Dave!

I have been looking on getting one as well, what did you pay for the Connie if you dont mind me asking. I have also been thinking about picking up a bike from them, flying out and riding it back that sound like it would be fun

Guys, for the sake of good business please call Mark for a price, I posted his number. Sure I got a bang-up deal on the bike or I'd have went elsewhere in USA, but the topic I wanted to express is not only that but the dealer experience was incredible.
and for me to say anything at all good about a stealership - well those that know me realize thats saying a LOT

I've bought from them. Always the cheapest otd prices on the current models- bring a printout to your local dealership when looking for a bargain and ask them to match the #s.

All over the news I hear a single engine plane landed on the NJ Turnpike in Cherry Hill NJ...

I was thinking about calling cycle world of cherry hill. I have been looking for the best online deal for last couple of weeks its down to cycle world of cherry hill, Matthews Fun Machines in NC or Romney cycles in Wv. I got my last bike from Romney but there prices have gone up also. I am still shopping around

Kawboy14 I bought mine at Matthews Fun Machines in NC in 08 with ABS for 11k the sales man and manager is at Team Charlotte Motorsports...call and ask for Jamie..he sold me my bike..and he like to deal..

Silver hawk, are you in NC?
I'm from there and during tampa's brutal hot months I like to sneak up to the mountains for 4-5 months and work/ride..... might try to put that beast Connoe through some twisties this coming summer

remember you also have to consider/negotiate the dealer fees they listed:
"Please remember to add the $495.00 destination and $98.00"
also remember the '10 has been redesigned to include traction control, better heat management, heated grips, higher windshield, better tires, glove box, etc not that any of its a big deal but just sayn'

the only thing i did not like is the glove box on the left side..that was about it..but you are correct it is a better bike for price..traction control really....hmmm...ok let me stop thinking about it..I am still working on my 1000..can't decide on the R1 or the Honda..uggg

I don't care about traction control, but the heated grips are worthwhile, I may just get an 10 OEM setup and put them on. The wind shield is a done deal, and I like the center glove box, if I ever get a 10 I will put a center glove box on it.
But the 10 also has improved ABS.
Even if they improved the Bridgestones 2 fold, they are still junk compared to the Michelins.

I thought of buying mine there but got a fair deal from my local dealer overall. Yeah, gotta agree that I also do not have a use for the trac control, heated grips, agreed, bonus. Center glove box I do love, holds what I need it to, just wish it was locking.
On the screen front, does anyone know if this "new screen" will fit an '08? Is it better in the up position for less buffeting? I am only 5'8" and in low I get a lot of air, but it's smooth air, raising it causes a lot of turbulence at certain heights.
As far as the tires go, If I keep mine at 45 psi it handles good, stock tires, I heard that the 2010 has a redesigned front tire only, they left the rear alone. I will get the suggested pr2's when time comes.
Lastly, what would it take to mount the front fairing on an '08, I would love better heat control as it can be blistering in the summer. I did redo the foam that was out of place but it still is there, and can be brutal.

the bridgestones on my 2010 ABS connie are pure junk. if i can refrain, I'll not powerbrake the rear one off as a good excuse to rapidly put some PR2's on her.
