It certainly is cheaper to make a Busa faster. I would have to agree that the Busa and the 14 are in the same league but I am a little partial to the 14 for some reason. I have owned 5 Kawis and never once a Zuk but its good to have competition or both mfgs would suck.

I agree to a point about making the busa faster is cheaper.
But if you compare an 06 14 and an 06 boosa then I disagree . Pull the flies and the 14 smokes the boosa.Free power! How much will it take to get the boosa to smoke the 14 in that case? $$$!

Like I said they are both fast bikes . It all depends on how each are set up . Spend your money in the right places in either and you will have a fast machine .1badzx12 or 14 whatever you call yourself . You will always be a joke until I see you at the track actually racing . Bench Racing doesnt count . I am 240 lbs and will put my feet down with the best of them . Your 215lb badbody ass has no excuse

John Fernandez (2009 Super Street winner) used to be a die hard Busa fan. He was always talking sh*t about the Kawi's. Now he owns several 14's and is glad he switched.

So big deal that SOMEONE ELSE ran a time on your bike. whooptee Not impressed. Unless you are twisting the grip and doing the riding, those times are totally worthless as they are NOT your times.
I always find it funny those that have these bad ass bikes and can't run them so they get a "jockey" to ride it for them. LOL
And no, your bike does not qualify for "stock" motor either. Get real.

Max Im not sure what your point is. I like riding bicycles and I'm sure if you put Lance Armstrong on my bike it would be a fast som bitch. With me riding not so much. So a better rider rode your bike to a good time? Maybe he should post it?

I race my bike all the time. I cut mid 8s on a regular . But weight holds the bike back. I put little people that are great riders on the bike to see what the best possible time it can run . My jockey and I 60 ft exactly the same but the results are always .2-.3 differnce in time and 4-5 mph. That's just a fact

Stock to stock they are really close on the street. 14 has better brakes. More Busa hot rod parts but the 14 is getting more popular. My 2007 14 is quicker than my old 2000 Busa.
I also thought the Gen1 Busa engine was a stronger engine to hop up. Keep spraying
with stock pistons, hope you have extra $$ just for maintance.

You say you run mid 8s with you riding. I run mid 8s with a bone stock zx14 engine on spray. Seems like zx14 owners dont have to choose the parts wisely. They run with your bike already. Im 220lbs. Not really impressed. But its good i would say.
