Fitting the Supercharger
After many hours of measuring and machining the supercharger is ready and mounted on the side of the engine in the car with plenty of clearance everywhere and it looks great.
Next step is to start fabriacting the inlet plenum in conjuction with the intercooler.

Thanks, the credit must all go to Joe at "Doda Engineering" who is doing all the machine work for us.
Just in case you wondered, all that milling was done on manual milling machine & NOT a CNC milling machine. He sure is capable of some fabulous work I must say!

No, since I am running this motor in a race car I do not have and cannot use the stock intake chamber as on the ZX14 this is part of the motorcycles frame. i.e. the airbox is part of the bikes frame.
We are currently having an inlet chamber fabricated into one piece with the intercooler. This will tie down and seal onto the throttle bodies.
I will post more pics once this is ready.
Does anybody know whether the oem intake air temp. sensor is ok for boost??? Since forced induction temperatures are quite a bit higher that N/A inlet temperatures I was wondering whether the standard sensor is ok to operate at higher temperatures. Anybody had any experience with this??

Lyle was telling me a thermocouple may be better suited for reading air box temp, but i beilive that was without any form of aftercooling, so the oem unit may be fine IF you have a really good cooler on it. are you doing water to air? air to air?

An air to air intercooler so it should have good cooling, plus the rotrex charger gives off a LOT LESS heat than a turbocharger does.
Intercooler is nearly ready. Will post pics once done.

Intercooler is ready fabricated along with intake chamber on throttle bodies and is looking great. We've kept everything as short as possible plus the intercooler has the air scoop above the drivers head throwing air directly on to it.

We're going to be running a high pressure injection pump with seperate regulator as opposed to the OEM fuel pump but for now we are retaining the OEM injectors.
What fuel pressure do you turbo guys suggest?? We'll be running it with about 7psi of boost at the beginning.

Are you using a FMU?
