Dynabead balancing
Just got my new Q2's mounted on my 14 and they said they used dynabeads to balance them. Never heard of it before, so they explained it to me. I was a little skeptical until I got them back on the bike and took it for a spin. Very smooth, no vibration!

I know this may sound crazy, but my bikes seem to ride perfectly smooth with no balancing at all. That is mutliple tires, multiple bikes as well.
I always balance the assembly if mounting for a customer. But with all of the burnouts and such that I do with my bikes, I don't worry about it. I'm sure the clumps of rubber and the wear soon offset the small amount of weight that I would add.

Shane thats because you have BST's............Theres a reason they cost so much. They never need balancing!!!

don't mean to thread jack but are there times you need to get your tires rebalanced, my front it just feels different seems like the tire is a little squirrlly now. It wasn't when I first had it put on.

I used dynabeads and all is smooth until 100 mph. Then it shakes bad. Going to pull the front tire and get the beads out and balance conventionally.

+1 Shane. I haven't balanced a rear tire in years. Very few front tires have been put on, but I balanced the last front tire I put on.

I've had a front tire out of balance before on both bikes i've owned and the handle bars would shake bad. That's the only reason I want it done right when balancing. I got up to 130mph today and it was smooth. If the dynabeads do good through the life of these tires, I'll probably keep using them

the thing with beads, I have used em on my truck tires, that are really hard to balance, is that if you spin a tire or accellerate too fast the beads can't settle to the balance point required, and the tire is really off balance.
thats with 38" x15.5 rubber with 8 oz + in there.
I never tried beads on a bike though that generally require 0-2 oz at most

Yeah, they put 1oz in the front tire, 2oz in the back. It seemed fine yesterday. I accelerated pretty quickly with no problems.
