Lets see how this works ..This is one of Wrongways pulls ...Not highest run but close ... I think the other bike is Teddys big motor zrx1300 ? ... You can see wrongways a/f drop to 12.17 on the big end.. Look at the TQ at 4000 to 5000 I'm looking for the 197 run to post but i'm have one hell of a time getting my two puters to talk each other as well as other problems like the puter user ..lol..

not sure ... maxton isnt until 4/10 , so I may be able to . I guess it depends on if the car is ready to run maxton before the texas run.

I really like the looks of that. It looks like it would make a great/fun street motor just like it is....looks like the stock motor powerband, move up some notches.

Roy, have you had it on the street? Does it run hot?

Not one of my runs, but very close. Mine peak at 10200 and fall till 11000. That one is too flat. AF is also too flat for my carbs. Maybe one of the other 14's? If you guys would of leaned it from 9K on, I sure it would of broke 200hp!

I was just wondering if you had tried it on the street, on pump. How much compression? Will it run on pump?

It may be Tommys zx14 .. I know it's not mine because it has an 13.0 on the a/f , i'm mapped down a 12.8 and 12.9 range... I will fine out as soon as i get back on the dyno computer ..
I'm going to find my dyno run that made 170 171 and overlap that with wrongway map ..

Here is my last dyno run before i ran 8.76 @ 154 .Mine is in the blue, wrongways are in green.... This dyno run was made 2 days before i ran that 8.76 @ 154 at BMP ...You can see how low my dyno reads ...I can get it to make 177 HP but i have to lean the bike out to 13.5 to get that 177 hp ... At 13.5 A/F the bike will not ET or MPH for shit ..

At 10,500 you can see Roys bike is making 27HP more than my bike ..Take off 5 HP for the E85 fuel and he still makes 22 HP more than me .. At 8500 he makes around 30 hp more than me ...

Wrongway was it the Muzzy 1534cc kit or was it something you gathered up yourself. If you dont mind can you tell us what went into the motor rods, pistons, valve springs, balancer shafts ect...?

Yes it's muzzy 1530 kit , plus he added rods to the package ... Stock head (no port work ), stock cams and i'm not sure if the added Valve springs ..You will have to ask wrongway if he added springs .... Wrongway built the motor himself so he can add any details .. I was just the dyno guy ...

Smokin do you plan on putting your bike on the dyno and tuning for e85? and this has nothing to do with wrongways numbers> I just want to see what someone that tells the truth gets from going to the hotter plug and e85. I know what we got here on a busa for et but really never seen hp numbers from it.

What type of rods did you end up going with? I was thinking about getting this same kit when i built my motor but wasnt wild about the bore change. Muzzy claims that this setup will put down 240 i know that it says in the fine print "with valve spring, cams and adj cam gears but im thinking those three things dont add much to the total HP put down. Im just wondering where Muzzy is getting this 240 number from. As your bike has light rods and no balancers so thats less rotating mass so surely there not taking about crank HP are they? Either way congrats on the motor build you did a hell of a job!!!! Most people dont understand how complex one of these motors are much less how much it takes to rebuild one. Just wish you would have built a thread out of it with pics and all the details

I used the falicon rods , mostly cause thye were the cheapest. I am a cheap SOB and wanted to see what the motor makes without dumping a ton of money . I think the hp numbers muzzy states may be correct to a point .... I saw a 17% increase in hp . If you take brocks stock motor that was at 200 hp on his dyno, 17% more would be 234 hp .

I'm pretty sure that the Muzzy figures are for cams, with a ported head. Also, I'm sure they are STD #'s. That would put them closer to 230 hp SAE, and Brock's bike was closer to 195 hp SAE.

I believe that with cams and a good head, and good tune, you can make even more than 230 hp SAE with one of these motors. I guess time will tell.

..Let me also add this, this motor had so much low end power it just killed the tire , we had rubber flying everywhere in my shop .. We could have lost some hp because of that ... We had to let a bunch of air out of the tire to get it to somewhat hook on the dyno ..Low air pressure also kills HP on the dyno ...

I get a big grin everytime I hear or read stuff like that!

A sidewinder with bigger header tubes might make considerable more top end power too....

I said the same thing ... Roy is using a modded small tube zx12 header .. Just a big tube Brocks Smeg would make more hp than what he is using now ..

Here is my lean map and dyno run i was talking about ... 177 HP 102 TQ but it will not run good numbers at the track with this map..The only change to the map i made to run 8.76 was to add 7% from 8000 up , the bottom of the map remained the same ..

Read it and weep, Lee!

That was also leaner 13.1-13.2 peak, on MR9. Same dyno that I made 176 hp SAE on pump. Changed to CT exhaust, short stacks, MR9 (and a couple of other little tweaks) = 190 SAE.
