Southern Cali we got E85!

I heard on the news last night that Perris, Ca. Has the 1st socal E85 station.
And they're selling it for 85 cents a gallon.
I wish I had something that could use it!

Yeah I'd have to retune and then refuel at that one gas station!
I can't wait for E85 to be readily available!

Lee, I'm a bit curious abot the octanes in E85. I suppose it's 85 octanes, right?, so I was wondering.........I normally use 97 octanes gas (in Chile you have only three unleaded types: 93 - 95 & 97 octanes -being the purest-). Does this affect the bike performance?

e85 is 85% ethanol ... that is 112 octane

the winter blend in very cold areas is 70 % ethanol and that is 104 octane.

The sticker on the pump say minimum actane is 104 for that reason.

Oh yeah high octane! The hot rodders in the corn states have been taking advantage of E85 for quite some time now and finally we get a taste of it

Its around 2.69 right now but it used to be 2.25!! I pretty much run the same ETs with 87 or 89 pump gas!! The E85 gave me only 3hp difference but engine runs a lot safer thats why I keep running it.
