header removal
Is it possible to remove the header without taking the radiator off? thanks

I've done a bunch of exhausts. It is fastest and easiest to remove the 2 upper bolts, and one lower bolt and hang the radiator low. It gives you about double the working area. Also remember to remove the left side (kickstand side) electrical connector that is connected to the radiator.

like Smokin said, no need to remove the radiator, you need a long extension and a swivel, its really pretty easy,

if you leave it in just be very careful with the fins. I left mine attached at first but decided to 'lower' it just to make it a bit easier. The left middle one is a tough reach (if I remember correctly) one of them is. It takes a bit longer to lower it, but I think it is easier. If you do it a few times it probably gets easier to do... (right Gilberjj) haha Either way it is not bad. If I remember the 12 was a bear to do... or was it the 10? Remember the older bikes?! Remove nothng.. haha I miss that... and just remove the seat to do the battery in the old days. The 12 was the worst battery in the world.

I found it easier on the 14 to remove the horn and then the two lower radiator bolts, takes just a couple of minutes and allows you to hinge it forward an inch or two which gives plenty of room for an extension with a swivel to do the job.

header removal
It ws also a good idea to tape a piece of cardboard to the backside of the rad. That way if your rachet slips on you it will protect the fins from being bent.

I bent a few of my fins when the ratchet slipped. Good idea on the cardboard!

I was pleasently surprised when i removed my brocks to put on my new oil pan. Removing springs is a hell of a lot easier than removing nuts lol. +2 on the long extension and swivel though.
