Automatic setting of launch RPM.
As I'm a realy crap rider and need help , I was wondering if you can use a two step launch master or similar to just set the launch RPM but then have throttle control once the clutch is out? I'm standard wheelbase and am scared of 12 oclock wheelies !!!
I think this might be the only way for me to launch anywhere near like the bike is capable of.
Even a shift /launch light doesnt seem to help me.
Sorry , but I will not give up , EVER!!!

Just my opinion but I find a two step setup to be almost dangerous on a non wheelie bar bike. My freind on a 14 almost died at the track thankfully he ONLY broke his back. The reason for it was his two step. You leave at wide open throttle (WOT). What if something happens? You flip over backwards that what happens. Learn to slip the clutch

Not entirely true. You can set a launch master at whatever RPM you want, and hold the throttle right at that point where you have it set at. If you use it for a wheelie bar/slick combination, then yes you would want to go to wot.
I had one, and Ryan Schnitz had recommended me to start off at a low RPM setting, and hold the throttle 1/4 open at first till I get used to it. Then try 50% open, etc., till you finally get the hang of it before trying 100% wot.
I know that sounds easy, but I never tried it. My buddy is using my launchmaster on his ZX-14 drag bike right now.
Like you said though, learn to slip the clutch. Its not that hard to hold a constant RPM and slip the clutch on the 14's.

I almost broke my neck in 2002 Doug. With only a 98 HP Harley Sportster. Wide open throttle is a no no. You can do exactly what ninjaboy said above. Good luck back out on the street.
