no drag racing for this guy :(

I took my bike to get a new u-soft put on for my first race back and 30 minutes after i left the shop called and said that when they went to pull it around back it had an oil leak so they looked and the oil pan was cracked... WTF? i know for a fact that i didn't bust it so i wonder who tried to ride my bike and smacked the oil pan. I know that the shop will never own up to it either. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow with a buddy and then i'll be installing my lowered oil pan. Looks like i have to wait another 2 weeks.

On a lighter note the thing pulls like a freight train with new clutches, brocks springs, a 46t sprocket, and extensions on it . Now if only I could figure out just how far off my speedo is with 16/46 gearing lol.

I guess that when it all boild down i have to say FUCK alba action sports. They may be the shit for buying pre-built quads and RTV's but they'll never touch my bike again.

That sucks. But every reason to go ahead and put the lowered pan on. I take just my rim to shops to let them put tires on, so stupid shit like that dosent happen. Makes you wander how some of these people get these jobs.

I still remember the kid that took my 14 for a "test run" after the frame recall inspection.
I would have bet my next pay check that neither him nor the bike are coming back in one piece.

I checked the mileage before and made them well aware that I knew the mileage. I said if anybody "NEEDS" to ride it, that I'd be following them in a car. They didn't end up needing to ride it.....

Totally agree with never using them again. Had that kind of thing happen before: drop the bike off for a oilchange (first and last time I ever take it to a shop for that, but it was my 600 mile one and I wanted documentation for the warranty): I got it back and someone had reset odometer #1, which when I dropped it off had 110miles showing but a full tank of gas (filled it up across the street from the shop and forgot to reset odo). It showed 42 miles. I had written down the odometer reading of 580? miles in my log book when I got to the shop, so I had a reference to prove that there was 60 something miles on it. Total F*in BS and I was really pissed when they tried to tell me its "normal" for mechanics to test drive bikes that were in for oil changes. Never went back to them after that, and they went under 6 months or so later.

Also watched some monkey doing a burnout with my car in the parking lot of the alignment shop it was at.

I calculate that an indicated 100mph on 17/41 (standard gearing) will drop to 83mph on 16/46 for the same rpm, if that helps any.

bawls...

http://www.gearingcommander.com/

you are geared 17% lower, and with the 8% speedo error stock bike, a total of approx 25% slower than the speedo shows.

The gearing commander shows 146 mph top speed with your gears and the speed limiter enabled,

and it also shows 166 mph top speed with redline of 10,500 rpm ( 11k on the tach) and the speed limiter bypassed
