Need recommendations on new brake pads for new rotors
Well I month ago I changed my front brake pads and used Galfers as the brand. Well shortly after that, my bike would pulsate when I applied the front brakes. I have 17,000 miles on my 06 model and I think it was the pads that created this delimma but that's besides the point. I took the plung and bought brand new Galfers rotors($$$$$) and I wanted to changed those front pads out and replace it with the best pads that will brake appropiately and not warp my new rotors investment. I've heard some great reviews on the Dunlop brand, if these are a great set of pads, where have you guys found them for a good price?

You might consider calling Galfer for their recommendation. That way, if the rotors do warp with their recommended pads, they will be more likely to warranty them.

I hear ya shane but I actually use EBC pads on the back and Galfers on the front. I found that the galfers pads would grind(make a wierd sound) when applied but the EBC brand in the back made no sound when applied. I really don't like that sound the front pads made

I've used stock, ebc, and Galfer on a variety of different bikes. If you really want to save the rotors, look for a pad with the least metal content. Highly metallic pads will be harder on the rotors (but they also stop great).

So shane your saying in a way, you have to sacrafice one or the other. Stopping ability or wear/life of the rotors? Is that correct?

More or less. AFAIK, the greater the friction, the harder it will stop and the more heat will be generated. Metallic pads also lose relatively little braking ability in the wet; most oem pads I have seen have a high metallic content.
On my bike I have stock pads with a stock rotor up front, and stock pads with a Galfer rotor out back. When it comes time to change the oem pads out, I will likely use a metallic pad as well.
As "Flame On" says, there are a variety of different compounds available. That is why I suggesting calling Galfer for a recommendation. I'm not an expert on the latest and greatest brake pad compounds!

I put a set of EBC HH extreme pro pads on mine because when I hit the brakes I want to stop right then. They grip even harder then the HH pads I had befor...kicker is my stock rotors are fine even with the extra heat.
Unless you can see/measure the rotors to tell if they are warped I'm 100% betting one of the caliper pistons is super dirty and is hainging up. Dirty pistons will make it pulsate like something warped. I have to clean my R6 pistons all the time and it always fixes the problem.

You shouldn't have any more problems with warping rotors now that you have the galfers.
Their rotors are way better than any thing stock especially in the ZX-14 application!
You should be able to use the pad of your choice with the galfers.

Good stuff those Galfer's . I love mine! They do make more braking noise over stock but I don't mind.
