Pc with stock 14
Would it be beneficial to install a pc on a 09 14 with only slip ons? or are the gains inconsequent? Thanks for the advice.

Save your money. With secondary fly's in not worth the money. The 09 has a new
ECU that opens the fly's sooner than the 06/07.

it would still most likely be beneficial because the stock maps in our bikes suck. Not to mention if you want to do more later you already have the pc3.

I would agree its beneficial. I put a PCIII on my stock bike it it really smoothed out the throttle.

I know stock the bike is super rich! That's proven by seeing the negative numbers in a lot of exhaust maps.
I say it would be worth it!

Re-mapping the fuel injection below 4,000rpm would give useful gains even on a stock 09 bike.
If you're going to buy the PC then you may as well do the job properly and remove the flys. It costs nothing more.

My only concern with removing the flys on my 09 is the possibility that over the bumps it begins to have a choppy feel to it.I ride mainly in the twistys. I know most guys here are drag racers so before i remove the flys I would like to make sure that its useful for my riding style. Some info on this part would be helpful. Thanks much

I doubt it will have a choppy feel. It will get rid of the dead spot below 4000rpm and give you back decent throttle control in the range most used for gentle or slower riding. You will change gear a lot less too as the bike will have a clean pick-up from low revs. It will make the bike more rideable, not less rideable.

Ok thanks guys for the info.I have some work to do now with the flys.Is there a chance that it will develop a poping through the pipes when decelerating and if this is the case whats the cure? Thanks again

A good map will decrease the popping. Mine done it BAD with a full brocks exhaust and no pc, now it does it a little.

Ram Air at speed leans it back to correct A/F. Most Dyno shops do Not
have enough High speed fans to pressurize the air box. Hence on board
Data Loggers.

If ram air corrects the rich spot at high rpm, why does brocks maps go as far as -18 or if I remember correctly -22 percent??? That's a LOT of fuel to be taken out.

Lean is Faster....Brock is tuning for speed, yet no too lean to hurt. Rich is smooth as long
as not too rich to wash cylinders. This memeber looks like he is just a street rider.
Slip on's will work just fine with out $$ spent on PC. Yes a PC and the RIGHT map will help
a stock 09 set up this way. But sure is a lot of coin for such a small gain. Wait on PC when
he sells the slip on's and goes full system and wears ear plugs like the rest of us :-)
I was just trying to save him $$, new bike let him get use to it.
