You should fax the Dyno sheets to them or post them
Why waste time , eBay the K&N and by a BMC . Besides BMC is a motorcycle only filter company correct? K&N makes stuff for everything.

I have 20k with a stock no-screen filter. I've checked and cleaned it every 5k or so. It's always pretty dirty. I've had many K&N filters on other bikes with great results

Oh yeah another thing I don't like about K&N, they couldn't even give us a date when their filter was coming out for the 14! Took them forever and a year. BMC had them out pretty quick and I got one as soon as they were available. K&N still took another year after before the finally had theirs available. BMC K&N ____________ '06 Passion Red ZX-14

Yes I've seen it at my buddys shop with my 14 and it happened on my other buddies blackbird. 10hp loss on the blackbird and almost 8 hp with mine . It's not the same results with all bikes I know but I'm done with K&N.
Yeah Lee, it was my 2001 CBR1100XX Blackbird that lost power with a K&N filter. Put the Honda paper filter back in and it was like friggin magic, 131.7 RWHP up to the 137 RWHP she has now.
K&N can bite my glorious candy glory red ass.

So....you are saying if I install a stock paper air filter I will gain 8 HP over my K&N?
Today I will pull my K&N and do some roll on's with my friends 2006 14 and see what happens. We run almost even in all roll on's 2nd gear at 70 and hit it and then in 6th at 70 and hit it. The rolling Dyno IS the Test. I will post what happens. I think NOT but I will test
your stattement.......... 8 HP gain will show up on the street.

I find it highly unlikely that a properly oiled K&N filter would cost you 8 hp compared to the stock setup in same day/same bike testing. Anyone can look at the stock filer and see that the metal screen restricts flow:
Do you really think a K&N will cost you 8 hp compared to that? The differences in all of these filters are likely in the 1-3 hp range. All that being said, if you have same day/same bike dyno charts with your 14 showing this 8 hp loss...I'd love to see them!
I have used K&N's in many bikes with good success on the street and track. When I go to the track these days, however, I run no filter. I have a BMC "Race" (oh, be careful...it will wear your motor out!) here, but it sits on the shelf a lot.

Post the results I wanna hear what happens! It might be just my 14 with the power loss but I just had slipons ,flies out and no PC and tried the K&N . Got like 150hp. Before that when I went on kerry bryants dyno I had slipons ,flies out, no pc, and the stock filter and
it made 157.8 hp.
I don't know what it makes with the BMC that's in it now but it feels stronger than the K&N and the stock filter.
Now check this out . The Blue 14 I ride has the same slipons I got and stock filter,no pc , and flies out and its faster than my bike in the 1/8th!
What gives ? My bike was built on a friday . I still will take the BMC over the K&N!

I have the charts but they weren't same day same dyno charts .
Its possible I loss 8 hp going from dyno to dyno.
But still I'd rather have the BMC after using it. The quality looks better when compared to the K&N. The sealing red rubber is way softer and seals up better than the K&N .I don't see the dirt build up in the air box like I did with the K&N . The dirt in the airbox alone would sell me !
HP wise who knows why I lost 8hp , my bike was built on a friday ! But almost 45,000 on the BMC I love my air filter ____________ '06 Passion Red ZX-14
