Start Up Idle
What is it that controls the bike's idle when you first start it and then a few seconds later it idles high for about 30-60 secs and then it comes back down?

the secondary butterfly shaft has a fast idle cam on the left side.... that is why you have flys out performance when the idle is high ... the secondaries are wide open

If you pull the secondaries out, will you still get the high idle and then back to normal idle at start up or will it not idle up anymore once you pull the secondaries out?

I'm pretty sure it idle's up to warm the engine up faster. I could be wrong. Is there a problem with yours?

I'm not getting that idle up and back down that I use to get. Trying to figure out why.

removing the secondary butterfly shaft or the stepper motor will do that .

If you only unscrewed the flies from the shaft, the high idle at warm up should remain exactly the same.

initial start bike will run at about 1.6-1.7 k for about 30 to 60 seconds, AFR will be about 15.8 to 16.2, it appears a lean (hot combustion chamber) is establish for fast engine warm up time.
