Anyone Still running MR9?

There is a place near me that still sells this stuff?
I thought it was all gone...
Just wondering if anyone was running it still?

87 is working fine just wondering if I should give it a try to shock a few locals.

I am using the Brock's Maxton map and I just went 152 mph in the 1/4 mile with a heat index of 103 degrees. A few weeks back I went 211.97 mph in Loring, ME at the 1.5 mile LSR event (great weather conditions, but obviously it was making some power).

I gained a definite 3 mph last month at The Maxton Mile, with slightly diluted MR9 and the Brock's Maxton Map. On same day testing I have seen roughly a .10 and 3 mph improvement at the dragstrip.

With Short Velocity Stacks and MR9 I saw 8-10 hp improvement on the dyno. Most of that would seem to be due to the fuel.

So, those are my less-than-scientific results. I can't say it will work for everyone, but I am happy with my experiences thus far.

Shane

It's not a rumor...it's true! If you leave it in the bike it will gum everything up as it evaporates.

I siphon it out, refill with pump, and run the bike after each track day...

A spare fuel pump is a good idea, and it is an easy swap if need be.

They are still making MR9. I usually run it in the winter when the air is good. Puts me in the 8.70's -8.80's in good air.

Agreed, just dump it in with no changes to the Brock's map.

Thanks Shane, Im hoping to pick up atleast 2-3mph in the quarter mile. Not sure about what I should expect on E.T I've heard some guys get a tenth and some onlly get maybe five hundredths. I'll take whatever it gives me. I know i will definitely be draining and riding it for a few miles on Pump gas after racing.

Hey Rick its $140.00 a can at a place over in Breese, IL. I will let you kow when I head that way to get some. I'm gonna be testing on some Tuesdays now. I gotta a number in my head Im trying to knock down :-). I was thnking about trying it tomorrow night but I have test this tire first and see if it gives me any gains in mph.

01Smokes, ya'll are getting a helluva deal on that gas.

Thanks guys.
I'll let you know what it does for me....

I pay $105 a can. Thats why I can only afford it a few months out of the year. I've found though that MR9 is no where as consistant as pump gas. So if you are going to bracket race, I suggest pump gas.
