I'm a SQUID!!
I can't believe I did it, but I did. I was leaving a quick stop not far from the house, I stop there all the time. I rode over a pretty good bump leaving there and was a little late hitting the brake. I heard a clunck and thought Sh*t. I shut the bike down and looked and I hit the drain plug on my pan and was dumping oil out like crazy.
That is a long push home, with everyone driving by looking and asking if I need gas. I had to explain, no I'm just a little slow and decided to wipe the drain plug off of my bike as I left the quick-stop.

is your bike lowered, stretched? as long as you got it shut off quickly you can put a new aftermarket pan on that might help, examples clems, adams pans.....

No my bike is bone stock. I just rode where I shouldn't have and hit the brake when I shouldn't have plus I weigh around 255 lbs. I did get it shut down soon enough, but I just hate doing stupid sh*t.
How tough is it to change the pan? Maybe a couple of hours or what do you think? I thought I would go ahead and get a clems since that's what everyone on here talks about.

fairings, rad, pipe, then pan.
I'd give myself 3-4 hours if it's your first time, 2 if your a experienced wrench.

Sorry to hear, IMHO seems like a design issue where the oil plug is at or the pan itself. I cannot recall any other sport bike released in the same time frame having this happen so often.
Anything above 600 cc the front wheel will come off the ground depending on gear and power do not hear this happening very often. My 1070 1k is a yo yo, now my pipe is dented but neevr ever has broken and it is oem, bike is lowered

Thats why I put a chopped pan with relocated plug on my bone stocker, it hits everywhere if you're not careful. Not sure what kawi was thinking with this design.
