maybe the thin headgasket helped
Last night at the track in Steele Alabama I ran my best time on the 14. 60 ft. was a 1.48
1/8th 5.86 and the 1/4 was a 9.06. the bike is 68" inch wheelbase. and the Hong Kong farings held up. I was afraid that it might start comming apart and speed like a spacecraft breaking up on re-entry. But no problems at all. I need to work on the 60.ft. It was the Lucky 7/11 motorcycle weekend. A sea of Busa's and 3 14's

That's some good numbers! Get that 60ft down a little and you will be in the 8's!!

I don't know. I am kinda heavy and I was tucked in as good as I could get plus I had it pinned, hit my shift points and stayed as small as possible. that was my best run of the night, all other ones I was teens in the 1/4. I actually think I was over geared for the 1/4 mile. 16/44. I may try the 17/44 and see how that does. On a side note, the boost by smith LED shiftlight is great. There is no way you can miss it. It's like getting your picture took with a red flash everytime it goes off.

I don't think that 16/44 is too much gear at 68". I am running 17/45 at 64.25", 1.44 60, no wheelies.
Riding styles vary, so whatever works for you.

Maybe so. seemed to be going through a lot of gears, that red shift light was blinking preety fast. I am going to try the 17 up front and see how it does.

I have 16/43 and I'm thinking about going up 2 more in the rear.. Wheelie has a hell of a rear sprocket, don't remember the exact teeth, and I don't think he's a small fella himself. Maybe he will chime in

Is that with pump gas? If not throw some MR9 in that puppy and that would have been an 8 second pass. Nice runs though

Yes it was on Pump gas. I ride my bike to work and ride with friends. I really don't want to fool with race gas. Maybe I will go on a diet. that's free H.P.

Must be a mental block. The bike is long enough. But I just keep dragging it out.
