Gearing down 1 tooth on the counter

It will not change the crank hp but will increase rear wheel by reason of fulcrum advantage, Will have to shift sooner. The bike is already at the high gear ratios. Barely hits 4th in the quarter. Now strapped and lowered, stretched, Shinko rear, better results? Well see.

From my experience I did better at stock wheelbase with the 17t front. Switched to a 16t and my fastest time on it was in there with the 17t, but never faster/ nor was it as consistant. But each person is different!
It was a LOT more fun to ride on the road

dropping the one tooth makes it much harder to control at the strip at stock wheelbase. Just can't get into the throttle like you need to.

I ran better times/more consistant times with the 17t, but the 16t is more fun on the street.
