Suspension set up
Sorry I know the gurus on here must get sick of this subject.
I'm stock wheelbase , 16/41 cogs , stock motor , dry 40 shot activated in third gear
strapped front ,pc/BMC ,full Yoshi 4 into 1 and weigh .215 lbs starkers.
Should I start with rebound and compression half a turn back from full ,and keep the
stock spring preload and then try to fine tune it from there?
I've never adjusted from the stock setup and because of my lack of experience am
looking for a rough idea to get started and hopefully chase that 9 second pass that I know I should be doing! Thanks guys.

Since you are swb you can start with your rebound there, but a half turn just might be too much on compression. I would start with 1.5 turns. If you are not carrying the front tire or spinning, dont change anything until you do. The spring preload is factory set for a 165lb rider. If you bottom out the squat put a couple turns on the spring rings.

Good luck. Be patient when setting up the shock. Most times a quarter turn can show results. Remember that if you stiffen the rear your reaction time will quicken too. So if you start redlighting you will know what the deal is.

do you have a decent baseline tire pressure figured out?
if it spins lower it, if it doesn't increase it.
Hopefully the track prep will remain somewhat consistent
