60 ft question
Well on Friday a got a chance to run a guys 06 14. I made 6 passes and my worst 60ft was 1.45 and my best was a 1.40. My question is on my 09 I can't get it to 60 ft like his bike. He is using the brocks HD springs and I am using the stockers with spacers. The next difference is his bike had a 42 on the back and mine has a 41. Both bikes are at 64 inches and I am just frustrated because my 09 is much faster even with bad 60' times. Is it me or sense those are the only two differences should I make the change?

You have the 41, he has the 42. Think like you go lower in number, you begin to match the front sprocket and acts 1-to-1 slow out the gate is the ratio.
You add teeth, this makes the bike leave the hole sooner to the 60 foot. Therefore you look like a stunt bike sprocket and how fast is that 60 foot is electric shit she is played at 20 feet is ran out of gear... Sort of that concept is it is not you if you can bang a 1.40 from a 1.45.
I'd say one sprocket tooth is the deal, or rotate wheels of both the '06 and '09 using one sprocket size. How many crank rotations did it make to turn the rear wheel one full turn?
Use the same sprocket, now rotate the '09 and match crank to wheel ratios. Say use 5th and count. Are we good to go on the trans ratio that both bikes match? Rule out gear box ratios. Rule in one sprocket tooth size.

The gear has less to do with it than the clutch ...His Brocks springs are mostlikely causing you to toss the clutch a bit faster in the 60 foot ..With Brocks springs the lever snaps out just a bit faster ( more grab ) with less movement of the lever .. The gear plays a very small roll in all this but can help IF it doesn't cause you to wheely ...You have shown you can do fine with a bit more gear so you can go with a 42 if you like .. I myself could not use a 42 because of wheelys so i use 16/41 ..But what works for me doesn't work for everyone .. I also tried Brocks springs and found it didn't work for me... What did work was the stock spring with 3 brocks spacers .. With this set up i have gone 1.34 and 1.35 60 foot times...
You can see by my 60 times my lack of lower gears have little to do with it , it's in your clutch and throttle hand ..

OK, how about said this way... If you eliminate all the aftermarket, and say one bike, 2 sprockets. If you had a perfect leave without a wheelie, bog, or wheel spin and all that... Can you see that if you left normal from a dead stop, counted to 10, who would make it past the line first?
I would think the gear has everything to do with a better 60ft time.

No.. The winner would be the man or woman with the best clutch and throttle hand ..
I would agree a lower gear can and does help some people with their 60 times only because it fits their riding style ..BUT by adjusting their riding style they could run the same 60 with taller gears .. Again it comes down to rider skills ..
The only way to know the best gears would be with a slick and wheely bars and toss the clutch at 9000 ..Even with that the rider weight would change the out come of what gear is needed .. In the end it comes down to the rider ..

No shit! Just so piss knows, noone understands that jibber!
Nor does anybody care about it either. I like this forum for the useful information on my ZX14. I don't use this forum to hone my rap skills and I don't think anybody else does either. So if and when you care to help answer a question understand that we read english not whatever it is you speak. I will call it jib?

nooby, If I sustain the throttle dump the clutch... What happens?
If I go old-style, rev up and down on the throttle, what make you think you need to follow the crowd is sustain or rev up and down is hit your sustain [on release].
Jib that one.

First time I read, Smoke, I saw a hand. Did you see it first time you read him? I come gunning for just this type rider.
I say the best can be beaten. Bad day, good day, either way > They can be beaten at their own game. So, you do the sustain and drop kick.
I am the spinner on the ball. I say do it his way is do it my way. He has no clue and either do I. You are doing what you are doing to get there.
Bottom line, you are the final clutch dropper. And if you struggle listening to one thing as if it is gospile, then sit in the pile of seconds... not 10ths, not 1000th's....
Stuck listening to others is run your own lever. Feel it out tell me you wheelie is tell you to, "carry it."
Datta is your mantra. Like Datta proved and Comp's camp. The best can be eaten at their own game is I did not make the rules. You did.
Keep an open mind. No one person has all the answers.
If you think I do not have you covered on the apex practice. If I do not have you covered as I leave a traffic light... My Web IS Made... All you half to do is cross it. Stink I do not have something I do not have nothing for you at the end of the cable?
wee-wee will see about that. Gate Toe enough is step on yours?
WOT? Don't Chew like Helmet Rant = "Get a lane?"

lmfao that's awesome. I'm feeling retarded this morning so i'll try to translate whatever it was that came out when he started typing. Pissear tell me if this is what you were trying to say.
There is more than one way to skin a cat... everyone has their own way of launching or cornering whether it be right or wrong. If you get too caught up in trying to follow one persons technique then you will never be able to get any better. Learning from experience is everything and the confidence that it builds will allow you to improve even further. Every dog has his day and the minute that you start thinking that you are unbeatable you've already lost.
IS that close enough? lol

Well, I did some digging. It seems our friend Pissear (to take a leak) is mexican/american and is bilingual. I am guessing the direct tranlation is what causes his jibberish. He might not be doing this way on purpose but I think he gets off on it.
