Must be your luck Steve!
Mine never leaked...junkbike...whatever...
You and I both know thw R1 is good for about 3 hrs of really twisty rides, otherwise its best environment is outside of HOOTERS, at the local hangout, or all shiny parked in the garage.
What I am saying is the literbikes are damn uncomfortable, need revs to move, and you need to be Fred Astaire on the shifter to really wake em up.
I never understood why my friends( who would not admit at the time)... why they had enough riding in some of the best twisty highway riding locals after only 4hrs... hell they were still stiff the next day! It took 14 hrs with the trailering the bikes to get there, and then they hardly wanted to ride after the first day...
Meanwhile the previous month I gobbled up over 900 miles a day averaging over 100 mph, for days on end, and would have gone out agian after dinner break if the wife would have let me... Her idea of a summer vacation was not waiting for me to come back from all day rides...LOL
Other than the original crate damage, my bike was never back to the shop...
Hell even for that stuff, I picked up the parts and did the work myself.
Mind you........... I was lookin for cracks under the frame...... instead of BIG FURY ones on the pillion

dubious, I wasmore referring to the other leaky bikes mentioned in the thread, and added mine. hmmm Mine got Phished into this whole thing!
And the Yamaha? I've never like 'em or owned one is why I bought mine. Both better in the curves and better in the parking lots than my 14, correct. And no leaks, no issues and 12K of hard riding. Trailoring? The 14 got trailored thousands of miles same as any of my litre leaners or 600 track bikes have.
But fvck that big heavy litre bike Yamaha, there's a project Honda bike parked beside it that really brakes and turns faster being prepped first for the mountains during the summer months when I escape FL, then the tracks of FL in the winter

I hear ya on the trailering.
I think we might be in similar boats, to get to the GOOD riding, I used to have to travel 800 miles of shitty, straight roads, shitty weather, carriing luggage, with the rubber 1/3 wore off by the time I got there, then I wouldn't want to ride the good stuff when I arrived .
I like to ride hard and fast, luggage has no place on a bike IMO
