Gonna pull the trigger on a zx14 Monster Edition
Well I've been cruising the boards for sometime now and I think I'm finally going to buy a ZX-14 in the Monster Edition scheme. Could anyone give me any advice on where I should be on price? Also I plan on doing some slight customization, anodized (and shorter) bar ends, dash panels and other unpainted plastic painted the same gloss black of the rest of the bike (my paint guy says he can paint the gorge forman grills black with out affecting the green on the grills), maybe even a 240 tire and swingarm conversion if it's not too pricey. Anyone have other ideas?

The monster is the coolest of all the 14 colors in person. The pics do not do it justice. A guy up here has one and powder coated the rims green and it looks so freakin awsome. Makes my blue one look like a turd.

I like the Monster Edition too, but my issue is that you have to pay 300 extra bucks for basicly an advertisment seems like they should give you a 300 credit

My opinion is if they come up with a logo that looks that good on a bike I will proudly pay a little extra for it. The fact I drink Monster like water helps too

Love that bike and almost bought one. I just hated the M on the side.

Well I just came from my local dealer that just got one in and all I have to say is WOW! This bike is gorgeous, seeing it in person that thing is hypnotic. I had a white/blue TL1000RR and I thought that was a looker. Im trying to decide if it would look good with a green vinyl seat like the 6R and 10R...

i think there cool looking. not much for stickers myself, but its cool.
price? i say buy it used with less than 3K and get a steal.
i bought my 07 for 7600 with corbin harbagsand 2800 babied miles on it. a steal in my book.
new the stealers are gona get you. just remember its an additional 700+ or - after the " yeah its onl;y" price. im seeing a lot of these bikes getting bought just to sit in garages and be sold privatley for way less than dealer fees.

That bike can be had for $10,960 + tax in the Denver area. I'm more partial to the black & orange. Can't get past the "M". Not really crazy about any of this year's colors, but that's just me.

Great bike I like my 06 even more now since I have some new 08 forks on wore the first pair out . I see a lot of great used deals also now. Ebay has some awesome looking stuff for the 14 Too if you go used.

I heard of others changing the fluid and valves in the forks too. Mine with my scrawny arse were fine after 14,000 miles. And I was hard on braking in the mountains and such
