my 16-48 1/4 mile
well, finally got to run 1/4 mile at the new track, I was told here16-48 will not make 1/4 mile, guess what? it does, goes thou the traps at 10,000rpm in 6th, im not telling anyone this is the perfect gearing for them, but dont like the internet telling me I need a 7th gear, 9.14@150mph was the best, 217lbs not suited. I cant speak for lighter riders, the gearing may or may not work, but I am happy with it, best 60' was 1.42, 330' was 3.85, 1/8th mile 5.85@119, 1000' 7.63. 87 octane pump gas.

Wee it's amazing how close your run mirrors my run when I was 220lbs with the stock rear gear.

Man, I'm glad you figured that out because I was gonna order that 7th gear...Relax, I was joking about that too. Nobody said it wouldnt make the 1/4 but I said I was not sure if it would. You have 1000 rpm left over so you could go another tooth or two. Good job btw.

Seems like way, way too much gear. And you said you are launching it at 7k?? I don't know how you can even twist the grip off of the line without looping it! Crazy!
But, hey, there's a thousand ways to skin a cat....

wasnt picking on you, I just remembered someone saying something like that, Lucky14 got slammed saying top speed was 166, give or take a mph either way, I think he was right, or very close, bike only has 450 miles on it, hope it gets a little faster with more miles.

had good weather today, could only rev 6500, 7000 I had to let off in 1st gear. here kitty kitty.

damn good numbers wheelie i was thinking of 16-44 gearing to see what gains i might make. good info- im at16-43 which is what i hear works for most. nice to hear of other options

Tell him it's not his zx14 ....I have guys tell me they can't get their zx14 to run , so i ask if i can make a pass on their zx14 ...After i make a pass killer pass on their bike i tell them " See its NOT your bike its YOU " ...lol....

he ran 9.70's and 6.30's, so I think he will get 6.10's with some help, no shifter but extended.
