Stretched 8" dumb move

Left a 1000' blackie at RMR, no traction at all. But no more wheelies from 0-140 mph. Track was just ground and no rubber residue. Everyone complained of the track being slick. Best run was 10.28 @ 117, backed off third of the way down. Worst 16.05 at 120. Need to call the bike Cheech or Chong for Up In Smoke. Kind of cool when you can roll the throttle and smoke the rear tire at 100.

Running a Michelin Sport Touring at 10 #, super wearing tire for the road. Does anyone have experience with the Full Bore race tire out of Oregon? Problem was no one had good traction. On a side street it felt good. The track it felt like a rain drenched road.

That sport touring tire is so hard it will never get traction at 8". If you still ride on the road quite a bit, try a shinko 003. If you don't ride on the road too much get the shinko ultra soft.

Thats funny, You might as well drag race in the rain stretched 8" and running a hard tire. Buy a drag type tire like a Shinko 003 US.

+1 U-soft Shinko, for track and street, yeah you will have to replace it more often than a touring tire but traction will no longer be an issue. Oh yeah, If you like doing rolling burnouts, you might get one or two but the third you will probably get a nice view of the sky. Guess how I know?

Are you the guy with the ZX-12 that weighs 150 lbs. wet? And has 636 stickers? Brooke from Revvwear.com is ahead of you. Plus, this is just a street proto. The supercharged 14 is the real deal.
