07 14 with 16-43 gearing
V&H Sidewinder
PCIII tuned on 89 pump gas
sitting at 63 1/2

If not what else can i do without touching the motor to get into the 8s? Thanks in advance guys.

1.44 aint no rookie on a 60', maybe if you race on Smokins track, downhill, below sealevel, strong tail winds, you can do it.

A few people have done it so why not me? I know the westcoast suck with the air and elevation, humidity and all that stuff but maybe others mods that I dont know could help me reach my goal!

P90X for you and Shane's thread for the ZX...re-map with race gas...possibly an auto-shift (eliminate early/late shifting).

180 pounds ... Well you can get close ... Might pull it off in Sac town ( 98 Feet above sea level ) in the fall or spring .... If you can get your 60s in the high 1.30s and run some MR9 with brocks track map and no air filter you may pull it off in LA ..
In FL this time of the year i can keep mine in the mid 8.90s on pump gas , the 8.80s come in the winter, fall and spring... I'm 150 pounds and it takes a lot work to keep mine in the 8s in this heat and humidity..

I would say a 9.05 with mr 9, 16-44 gearing with the elevation and or heat...Use a Michelin soft or a pirelli super corsa sc0 with 25lbs. and Practice, practice, practice...

I would say you can do it but you will have to be over 150mph so you will be waiting on good air to get it done. There was a guy on here, Racers, that got to 9.02 (I think) out there in Cali. He was 205lbs unsuited and ended up destroying his bike before he got the 8. That is a goal of mine too but 235lbs suited is gonna be a hell of a job because our air is only good here for a very short time. You weigh 55lbs less than me but I have run .04 faster at 152 mph in cold air, 55lbs is two tenths in your favor. It aint easy but it is a very realistic goal if the air conditions are right. Good luck and do your best.

I will be able to tell you soon, there's a new 1/4 mile track opening here in SC and they're having a Bike Day on the 31st. I should be able to get in enough runs to see some EIGHTS if I'm able. I can run 5.70s real consistant in the 1/8th so I feel that 8.90s should be within reach. I weigh 175 lbs.

What map/exhaust are you running? 152 mph is a lot at your weight!

Alienhead and Street Map. The Track Map has netted one 153mph pass but only a 9.20 et. The 9.17 was done with the Street Map.

Brock's told me that the track map is really for MR9...they said to run the street map unless I run MR9/11.
I see a lot of people running the track map with pump, but they advised me otherwise...
I'm still surprised at your mph. I should be able to pull 153-154, I would think?? My setup bike/rider is probably 70 lbs. lighter than you. Shortmeg, with street map.
