Yes, it will take a few runs/cycles to fully adjust. Dubious has a good understanding of the pcv and bazzaz, he could verify this I believe.
P.S. PULL THOSE FLIES!!!
That is correct.

quote: Any horsepower benfits putting 08-09 injectors in 06-07 z x-14 with the PC5?
Not sure, it seems the 08-09 have updated timing curves, secondary throttle controls, updated clean air injection, and larger injectors.
They changed them for a reason, but I think the combination of changes has netted the total increase in power from 06 to 08 power, which is really only about 3-5 HP from what I have read and seen.
The top end power increases people are seeing with the 08 must be from the injector style and timing I would "guess".
The injector nozzles are supposed to be superior in atomozing fuel,as well as the increase in flow.
I don't know if you would see enough change for justification.
Not on a stock or piped but otherwise stock engine. I doubt it, but do not know fo sure.
Should ask Lee to throw a timing light on each of his 14's for comparison....?
They would have to be on a dyno, as each gear has different timing map...
I am putting 08 injectors in my 06, but it was simply because I wanted clean, accurate injectors when its put back together, and the price was the same.
I am going turbo so addtional flow would not hurt, and I need to remap completely, and am running a custom ignition timing curve based on boost as well anyway.
The biggest advantage for the larger new injectors would be for guys running BIG -100+ HP dry shots , or boost referenced regulator and stock injectors on turbo's.... IMO
More fuel..

Same seller has the autotune for $230, shipped. Not as discounted as the PC5, but still a good price.

I ran my ZX14 07 poweredsingle seater for the first time with the pc5 and autotune last Sunday. It works fine and I found it very easy to use.
I first went out with a map that came on the cd with the pc5 since I am running Muzzy M14 headers and mid pipe (no exhaust can).
Each map you are given has an AFR table in it. Once you start running, the autotune begins to make trim suggestions to your current fuel map in order to reach your target AFR which is the table I mentioned above.
After I ran for a while round the track I came in and hooked up the laptop to see what was going on, clicked on Fuel trim and saw a table of figures which the autotune was suggesting to me to get to my target AFR. All I did then was click on accept trims and the map was adjusted to what the atotune had suggested. I imagine the more you run, the more accurate the map will become.
I was quite impressed with the increase in performance of the engine from standard to just doing a few bits and pieces. Firstly I threw away the standard exhaust and put on a muzzy M14, took off the head and ported it, cleaned up and polished the combustion chambers and reassembled with only one of the 3 head gaskets to get more compression ( I ordered the cometic high compression one but it hasnt arrived). I added a pc5 with autotune and also removed the secondary butterfly shaft and servo motor, blanking the holes in the throttle bodies woth aluminium shafts sanded down to a smooth finish inside the throttle body. Re. the secondary TPS I left it connected and locked it in the fully open position basically telling the ecu that the secondaries are always fully open.
Seems to be working brilliantly and we're racing this Sunday against all the big 2000 and 2200cc cars.

Haha, no. Theres quite a mix of cars in the single seater class. Class 1 is up to 1600cc which is the class that is all motorcycle engined cars. There are cars with Hayabusa, R1, ZX12, Fireblade turbo, Suzuki K5, & ZX14 engines. Then class 2 of the same group is from 1600 up to 2200cc, this where all the bigger car engined single seaters are, 2000cc cosworth, Honds S2000, 2000cc Alfa DTM etc.
Last year I won the overall championship with my zx14 engined single seater beating all the big boys!!!
I'll let you know how Sunday goes and I'll post the onboard on Monday.
Cheers
