Just wondering if any one tried this yet? i have one laying around for my zx6r. The 14 tire has a few more hours left in it.

i ran a 180/55 perilli dragon slick for a while. it turned in great, but was a little taller. give it a try and decide for your self.

what tire is it that you have sitting around?

Yes, The 180 shinko is better for drag racing. It takes away a bit of the sidewall which gives you more tread contact. It is also a bit lighter than the 190 shinko. Highly recommend for drag racing but not for cornering.

i really do appreciate the input. So you guys saying 180 for cornering is a no no on zx14. but for drag racing it is a yes becuz of lighter weight and better contact patch. makes alot of sense less rotating mass and weight. Freeing more horsepower for a big guy like myself.

it handles better as well because of the rounded profile. what they were saying is that when running low pressure you can get more of a contact patch.
